make sure both are unhooked.........before you rub em together, it basically discharges all the electronics. also check all the fuses under the hood and on the + battery cable.

if the sub fuse keeps popping then there somethign wrong with the sub or the wire going to it.

Hi my name is Jason and I have a 2005 Nissan Titan SE Crew Cab

I have recently made a stupid mistake. Same as the guy on this link did (http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tita...-cables-2.html). Anyways I saw that you had posted on this and maybe you can be some help to me. I feel like such a dumb *** for making this mistake, but I had a battery under warranty and went to trade it out and the service guy in the store swapped it for the same battery (or at least I thought). Anyways it was middle of the night and I was in a hurry so I hooked it up reversed and of course the ground arced. Anyways my truck did the exact thing that the originator of the above post did. I put the new correct battery in and all the dome lights worked and keyless entry but no response from trying to start it. Anyways I checked the fuse box under the glove box and it had a fried 15A fuse, which oddly enough is labled subwoofer on the diagram. I changed it out and then my truck functioned as normal. I started it up and it worked fine. Checked all the A/C controls, stereo, windows, lights, everything. It was working great and of course I had a huge sigh of relief. At least until i turned on my brights when driving and it made my stereo make a weird pop, the volume went all the way down and then the volume raised itself back up to normal level that I had it at. And it continued to do this everytime I hit the brights, and then when I turned my truck off the same fuse popped again.

Any advise on what to look into or what possible could be the problem. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jason

P.S. I saw that on the post you said something about touching the + and - together to decharge them. Should I unhook my battery cable and try doing this, could it maybe be the problem.
