Feeler for a meet in KC for all the midwest guys - Page 2

Ok, well sat. is a definite. And I would say either late april or may, atleast let the weather get nicer. And that way Dee Mac will have time to settle in a bit. I've got a shop in Grain Valley, about 23 miles east of Downtown KC. There is a decent size parking lot, depending on how many titans show up. If we have more than I'm thinking, I could look for alternative locations. I know a local Jeep club has meets all the time, I could find out where they hold them at.

Let me know some ideas of what you would like at this thing. Food is always good.

As a kinda after party deal, or even as the main event, My parents have 20 acres, that would be a private location, we've could have acouple grills, beers, and whatever else we wanted without fear of getting city approval or worrying about the cops. I'm just throwing out ideas. I've put together acouple bike meets, but bikes are easy to park. So just let me know your opinions.

im going with june, things are pretty crazy in april and may for me also. RFosgate, let me know if you need some help planning anything, i have never done anything like it before, but am definately up to help. what does everyone think about saturday june 14th or june 21st?

OK. well I guess June it is. How about the weekend of June 14th. That seems like a good weekend to me. So now if anyone has some ideas of what they would like at this event again, I'm open to any ideas. Thanks

june 14 sounds good to me too. if we get a concrete date, then i can contact my brother about some "sponsorship" w/ maybe some givaways, or prizes, etc...

june 14th, i think we can put that on the calendar as concrete. where do we want to do it at? what does everyone feel about doing some sort of barbacue, hot dogs, hamburgers? afternoon or evening better for anyone? i vote for around 3:00 or so...that way we can hang out and chat and then drink and eat. ideas? thoughts?

a late morning into lunch time into early afternoon meet would work better for me and maybe also for those who have to drive some distance so that we are not traveling too late into the evening/nighttime.

good news folks.....just spoke to my brother. he one of the district managers for autozone in the kc area(mostly k.c., ks). he said that autozone would love to sponsor a meet and we could have it at one of the stores and they would provide prizes, some give-aways, and maybe some food too. also, we could make a show out of it and have customer votes on winners.

he said that some great store locations as far as viewing traffic and lot space would be in belton (south kc) and olathe, ks(just over the state line).

we really need to get people on board here. it would be awesome to have a great turnout for this and show our TITANTALK pride.

im going to post another thread or if somebody else wants to w/ a title about the date and a vote on one site or the other.
i want to get this nailed down w/ a guesstimate truck count by monday if possible. any objections to a new thread to maybe pick up some new interested parties? not trying to hijack anyones idea on the meet, i just want to help out if i can.

Damn, I got my certified weld inspector exam that day!!! I'll try and make it if I can.

I'm in. My last day at work this school year is June 9th then have 3 months off before I have to teach again.
