They would have to be on 04-07. The 08 can't be done without a consult yet!

'04-'07 and keep in mind this can also be done on the VK35 (3.5L) engines and it can be test driven and reverted back if wanted.

Bob Moore Nissan in Norman can do yours with the Consult III.

They can!?!?!?!?! Are you for sure? Do you know how much they charge? I actually bought my truck from Brent there last month.

Re: OKC Meet

Yes they definitely can. I don't know how much they'll charge but I had mine done "on the side" at Bob Howard in Edmond for $40 or $50, I'd have to look to remember which price but it's well worth either price IMO. I'm most certain that Bob Moore will do it and I'm absolutely certain that I can talk them into it for you if they happen to say "no".

Re: OKC Meet

I just called Bob Moore. Their shop foreman said it would take and hour and half and void my warranty. They also told me it would cost 140 dollars. Thats total BS!!!

I'm waiting on a call back from the Service Advisor. Here's the instructions, print them out and take them with you.

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/1045475-post14.html

If I don't hear back from them, then my ultimate suggestion would be to call up to Bob Howard Parts Dept in Edmond and check with Chad Ferguson in Parts to see if he can ask a Tech to do it. He's the one who arranged for mine to be done just make sure to tell him you'll have the instructions in hand for the Service Tech. If you want to stop by Bob Moore on your way up since it's closer to you then at least you'll have a backup plan.

Re: OKC Meet

BTW i doubt that the advance would void your warrenty cause its a factory adjustment nothing out of the range of the stock ecu. I think the dealership is just giving you BS I wish you could help you out but cypher wont work on the 08.

They are. I just got off the phone with Aaron (the SA) and he said the Service Manager is totally paranoid of taking on any responsibility for this. I explained everything to him and said the Instructions will be provided, a ton of us have already done it, nothing in the Consult can possibly void the warranty because it is fool proof to stay within OEM specs and he said he has no doubts about it but he also has no leg to stand on when talking to the manager. I told him that I believe there might be a TSB on it for sluggishness while towing except I cannot find it. He said he'll look and if there is a TSB found, there'll be no problem getting it done.

To be honest, I can easily contact the Service Manager's boss through my neighbor to get it done there but I'm starting to suspect that it'd be the minimal Service Fee which I think might be something like $90. It might be a better deal to just go ahead and talk to Chad at Bob Howard and make the extra drive up to Edmond. If you get it done in Edmond then just show the results to the guys in Norman afterwards and maybe you'll make it easier for the next guy.

Include Harrah on Saturday and thats a lot of miles in 3 days!! So we will see... If I don't make it I hope to see some pics and stories posted afterwards....

I used to have to drive up to Okmulgee and back to Okc then to either Tontitown, Branson, or Arkansas City and back all within the same day all the time so you can't pull that excuse over on me. I think you're just to chicken to drive one of the fastest Titans in the world.
