I got a problem with the regions, Ekool, where is Canada? We have (had) a lot of members from Canada and I am surprised you left us out! I would venture a guess and say I was one of the beginning members and I kinda feel left out :-(

Ekool,

I like all of your proposals. With regards to the Photo Gallary, though, there are three too many pics of some dude in a tux!!!!!!!

The regions look fine to me, and by all means let's not forget our Canadian brothers & Sisters.

$40 a year for a membership seems fair. I'd be up for it. Gotta go now...need to practice my wiki's.

ekool - For the active topics page, will you add in a "last post time" column next to the username of the person who made the last post please?

If you are commited to the "regional" idea, I like Steve's regions, but Austin's idea on access to them - it leaves a bit of the original format with a "slow merge" into the new. Personally, I wouldn't regionalize the format as I think having to read several "Performance Mods" links to check latest updates (as an example) is a: cumbersome, b: going to limit the amount of folks looking at a particular link/question/request for help, etc. and c: a forum divided among itself cannot stand.

The Photo site is an EXCELLENT idea.

We have tried to invoke a WIKI server for info at work and it has been very poorly received - very few people will post to it as it usually means additional posting in addition to the already sent mail, response, etc. Isn't this something we can keep in threads?

The annual fee in return for the items is mentioned. You should also consider the suggestion of multilpe fees to receive discounts (e.g., 1 yr, 2 yr, 5 yr, lifetime, etc.) $25-30/yr sounds about right.

so I have to ask...what is broken? This site is awesome and I reccomend you move cautiously as to not take away from something that is obviously already working. I support whatever your decision, but remember to KISS.

Nothings broken, but there is always room for improvement. I subscribe to the KISS philosophy in certain aspects of life, but not all On forums, I like to add lots of features to make it a fun and exciting place to go

With regard to plate frames, a new law in TX makes it illegal for any part of the frame to touch or conceal any part of the letters on the plate. Many car dealers were initially paying fines for the customers who were written up; also, the frame's border was made thinner to comply with the law.

i like the idea of membership w/ privileges (stickers, plateframes, e-mail, etc..). the only thing i can see as a problem is spreading the info out into too many places. i agree w/ those who said this before me (newenglandtitan).
yes, you do have to offer new stuff when you start to charge for certain things. nothing wrong with that. however, it will segregate the forum to a point. one way to prevent this is to only allow certain types of posts in the regional section. such as, meets or regional specific dealer info (good sales people, service depts, etc...). all other info that pertains to the TITAN should be kept on the main boards that are already broken down into great segments.

i really like this forum, and i think that ekool is doing a helluva job keeping it going like it is. im willing to pay 35-40 bucks a year to keep it that way.

I like Austin's regional forums much better. that way the VA, MD, and DC groups are easier to gather with. the rest of the country can be grouped how ever.
just my thoughts for my section of the world.

As for paying to get some stuff and space to host my pics that would be fine with me!!

Newbie...Glad to be here!

I would gladly pay 40 bucks a year for all that! I just bought my Titan last week and am loving it! Funny but none of my friends want to drive it because they know they will want one! Thanks for all the info on this site. I have spent the past few days checking this place out. It's good to see we can all pull together around a bunch of metal, plastic, rubber and horsepower!
I can't wait 'til mine breaks in!
