Active Topics allows you to click on a single screen and view the 50 most "recent" threads. That is, threads that have the 50 most recent posts in them, thus bumping them into "active, recent" status.
We will be putting up a photo gallery where you can upload pictures. I have not yet decided if we will be able to make this "free" to all users, or start an premier membership type thing where you send in some funds and you'll have access to that and some other features. We could offer other features, such as webmail, email@titantalk.com etc..
We tried the FAQ once and I jacked it up when we moved servers... but I have an idea on how to make it better and get more community help on it. We will be putting up a "wiki" where everyone has access to it.
4. Regional Forums [Status: Pending]
We will finally implement regional forums.. Previously, I did not feel the forum was large enough to warrant it, but we are getting there, and if we arent already, its in the mail... thats for sure.
So, what we need at this point is a list of regions that make sense.. anyone up to suggest some?
If you think of anything else you'd like to see, please post here.
All four of them work for me. I even like the fact of paying a 'small premium' to host pics of the truck and get a seperate titantalk e-mail addee. Regional forums would definately be nice to get some people together in 'zones'.
Good ideas, I like the "Active Topics" for sure. This is by far the best board I have ever been on, keep up the good work!
BTY, what ever happened to the Titan Talk stickers, I really liked the TT with the oval, it would be nice to see other Titan Talk members around, plus it looks good and is original.

I've been a little concerned about the "zones" ever since I first saw it mentioned. I'm just worried it will cut out some of the community as some will tend to stay in their own backyard.
Excited about the active topic idea. I'm always using the New Post feature.
What's a "wiki"?

I like all 4 ideas, but I have no idea what a "wiki" is. Steve04SE's regional breakdown is fine with me as well.
I have no problem paying to support this board and to get access to post photos and possibly a TitanTalk email address.
What did happen to the TitanTalk sticker idea? I thought we were at the point where we were about to decide the cost and start ordering. Did the whole thing just drop? If so, I have a contact locally that can make static cling type stickers. The Z Car Club rally that we were at a few weeks ago has been working with a company (www.rallyeproductions.com) for a long time. I also have a paper catalog from a company that makes magnetic or static cling decals. All I would need is a design we all agree on so that I can start getting quotes.

On the main forums page, put a single "Regional Forums" link. Behind that link, use these regional forums:
Alaskan Forum
Bay Area Forum
Hawaii Forum
Mid West Forum
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Wisconsin
New England Forum
Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont
North West Forum
Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington
Rocky Mountains Forum
Colorado, Utah, Wyoming
South West Forum
Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico
Southern California Forum
Texas Forum
Mid Atlantic Forum
Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia
South East Forum
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee
Tri-State Forum
Connecticut , New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania
No offense, but I like Steve's regions better... we dont want to break up the community too much.. when You have a ton of members, you can slowly start getting more detailed in the regions as you have more and more action... but we are still relatively small.
A wiki is a community driven website, pretty much anyone has access to it. An example of a wiki can be found here:
As far as the stickers, I just assumed someone else was already doing that so I havent pursued it... I could certainly have some local ones made and include that in part of the membership... and some license plate frames, I've done that in a club I ran before.
Assume the following:
2 Titantalk.com license plate frames
2 Titantalk.com stickers
1 Titantalk.com Email address, possibly something like "joe@email.titantalk.com"
1 Titantalk.com Photo Gallery (which would allow hotlinking to other sites, say 30MB quota)
1 Premier Member "image" under your username on the forum which will give you access to special features in the future.. not sure what.. arcade access, etc.
Maybe a discount for multiple year = 2 years $75 3 years $100 Lifetime ????
pc and sunshine were working the sticker issue..sun has a personal thing going on and PC can do it if we need....The issue there is the 'seed' money for the first 50 decals ($250+ I believe). Chris
They had at the time approximately 3,000 members and a full board of directors with guidelines regarding member gatherings and get togethers.
I don't think we need to go to that extreme at this point.
I would like to see:
1 Titantalk.com license plate frames (only need one in back)
1 Titantalk.com stickers (only have 1 Titan to put it on)
1 Titantalk.com Email address, possibly something like "joe@email.titantalk.com"
1 Titantalk.com Photo Gallery (which would allow hotlinking to other sites, say 30MB quota)
1 Premier Member "image" under your username on the forum which will give you access to special features in the future.. not sure what.. arcade access, etc.
For that I would be willing to ante up $40.00 a year
Okay.. I'll get started on the TitanTalk.com "Premiere" membership...
The FAQ is up, but we need people to start working on it. There will be a learning curve on how to use a wiki, but there is built in help. I've gotten it started... please see this URL:
