Here's a revised list of features/perks that Premium membership would bring... again, this isnt set in stone, but something I would like feedback on.
1. Access to Photopost/Gallery (50MB Storage)
2. Access to "vbGarage" -- a page where you can upload pictures of your truck and describe your modifications. As a user mentioned, you could link to it in your signature to tell people about your truck. (5 Images)
3. Email address @TitanTalk.com (50MB Quota)
Any other features anyone can think of?
I'm just a user of this site and must say that I really enjoy both the content and the interaction of it's members. At the rates you've described ($20 - $30 per year) the cost is less than $3 per month for the premium services. I think that's very fair. I would be willing to subscribe to that. Thanks for a great site, Ecool!

ekool, someone had brought this up months ago and included the oft discussed decal. I think guys would pay a, say for arguements sake, $15 fee for what you just proposed in last post along with the decal. Basically just about everyone seems to want a decal and I know they do not cost much. Tack on a $5 - $10 fee above the decal cost and shipping and you may have an answer. (I know this adds work of mailing but in reality the uploads are the only thing members seem to use). I have 5 email accounts with different organizations and to be honest do not want nor need another. Again, Good Luck with your decision.

Terry,
We provide many options and it would be unwise for me to think that you represent the entire spectrum of users on this forum who may be interested in the Premium membership. Sure, you dont need the email account, but someone else might.
As far as the sticker, I dont think I have enough time in my day to handle the shipment of products... thus the reason I am hesitant to offer anything by mail. I've tried that once and I just couldnt keep up....
I would like to offer stickers and license plate frames.... That is something I could add in, but I'll have to find someone local who can help me with the shipping of these products.
ekool, you asked for opionions and I was just giving my honest opinion and a possible suggestions. I NEVER once suggested that I represented the broad spectrum of users so I do not inderstand the tone of your response. I have read my suggestion to you and I was not trying to be nor do I think I was being sarcastic nor accusing. Do what you want, I really dont care!

Try as I might, I keep reading my message looking for some out of place tone, and I have yet to find it.
My point is simply this. The options that I have thrown out there may be beneficial to a small part of the users, or a large part of the users. However, no one man represents the entire forum, so I cannot base my decisions based off one mans response.
I gathered from your messages, that anything I'm offering wont be used by anyone on the forum, except the image hosting. Perhaps I am misreading as well.
I was only giving my opinion but several others have also indicated that uploading would be useful but really not much of the others. The forum is great and I have used loads of info and tips and have tried to contribute where I could. Its OK. Whatever you decide. I would just hate to see the forum be adversely affected but bottom line is, it is your decision and everyone will have to decide what is best for them. Again, Luck.

Thanks to TitanTalk I found out about New-Nissans.com and saved about $1500 on my purchase of a 2004 LE. Then thru a group buy for the chrome tailgate cover, saved another $25. Instructions pertaining to modifying the factory XM tuner install location made that go SO much easier. These are but a few of the benefits I have received from this site.
Whether it is premium membership, donation box or whatever is decided upon eventually, count this very satisfied "customer" in and thanks for creating a very informative site.

I used to check three different Titan sites... several times a day..
now i only check this site.. most things posted here are usless dribble, but every once in a while... theres a speck of gold.. like PRG's leveling kit.
Id probably not pay to do any of the things listed above in the "premium membership program".
if i wish to post a pic, i can post it on my photobucket account and link here.. if uploads are restricted, but it is nice to not have to pi$$ with that.
just my opinion.

Thanks for the kind words guys... Rest assured, the side will not be adversely affected. For the most part, you probably wont even notice it. It's there if you wish to take advantage of it, and if you dont wish to, it wont affect you in the slightest.
As far as a membership, donation, again.. my take is that I really DONT want to take donations. I've never had to take money from members to keep the site going. However, If I can OFFER _YOU_ something that _YOU_ feel is worth it, then I feel much better about it. Its totally OPT-IN, so it is definetly in your hands to make the choice.

Now we're on the same sheet of music. Glad you reconsidered the upload limitation, as I felt that would really hurt the forum in the long run. What you have now is nearly identical to set of "rewards" I offer to my forum members that donate set ammounts. The average user still gets all the same features they are accustomed to and those who decide to give, get some extras. So in a way, my "donation" program is not really any different than your premium membership. No one will have any legitimate complaints as long as you continue with this type of system.
I have found very usefull and interesting info here. I enjoy browsing the threads. I would not mind making a financial contribution to keep the site going, heck, even putting a little bit of dough in ekools pocket. He deserves it.
We pay for services that are usefull to us everyday. Information is the most valuable commodity. If we believe we get good info here then I do not see the problem with paying. Although I do admit I would rather it be in form of voluntary donations. The most appealing thing about web browsing is the ability to come and go as you please. No accountability. No appointments or obligations. Its just psychological, the thought of being tied to another obligation to pay. It takes control away from the users and puts it on the site. Donations leave the members empowered to make the contribution in their own sweet time.
Oh, and one more thing. I would surely prefer to make contributions rather than having pop-ups. I hate them D@## things.

I'd be gone!!! And so would this forum in time. I think if you ask for donations like sportbikes.net you would be better off. This is a nice forum... but not that nice.
Are you people even reading what ekool has written? What he proposes wouldn't change anything for you. He's offering a service in addition to what you already get from this site.
