I thank it's a good idea to have Premium membership. I will not be one but I don't think it will hurt the forum. From what I have read that you plan on offering it will only help make the site more fun.

Do what you want it's your world I'm just liveing in it.

I agree that if we were able to up the KB or Pixels with the premium membership I would pay. Some of us or maybe just me are not versed enough
with computers to post what we want to because I do not understand Photo Shop or Posting a link to make a Photo appear. If the site became more user friendly for a few bucks. I Am In!!

Ekool, this is I think what I am trying to say. If there isn't a somewhat clear advantage to being a member, in my opinion only, I do not think that many would join. I am all for free enterprise and have no problem with the fee itself. Would it be possible to limit the amount of posts per month for non premium members?? Non members would still be able to read all the posts and to post a few questions or comments each month but tipping the preferences to premium members may be something that may help. Again, I do not know if this is something that can be set as a option in this forum. Even if there was nothing extra that "floats my boat" I would still join as a premium member if not overpriced. Thanks again for your work here!

Yea it's fair... I got it cause I paid for it and you didn't!

I'm not talking about what's fair and what's not... ekool can charge whatever amount he wishes. It's his site and that is fair. What I'm saying is with a fee there will be limited membership. With limitied membership there will be limited knowledge. I just think it will work better with everyone able to join in free and have all the perks.

More users = more answers to our questions!

P.s. I hate being fair... I always want the advantage!

The premium membership wont limit the number of users on this forum, because it will be purely voluntary to join. Users who do not wish to join will still enjoy the same benefits ALL the users have now.

As far as the number of people that join.... I think we will get a decent amount of users who sign up, probably north of 60 and if so, then it would be worth it.

I like Titan4X4Aggie's last post on the subject. In addition to that

maybe you could add different themes for premium members. If the colors were along the lines of the truck colors that would be even cooler (I'll take red). I know it would probably be a pain to set up but then you're done. Premium members could just change their theme in the user CP. It would be just like netscape and firefox having different themes to their browsers. Club Titan just offered another theme for their page but I don't know anything about how the software works or how to do it. As far as paying goes, I can piss away $20.00 faster than just about anyone. I probably have a couple of hundred dollars in magazine subscriptions per year. Paying $20.00 to play on a site that I like coming to isn't going to break me. For $30.00 I want some sexy virtual type woman welcoming me to the site and telling me how great my truck is.

Please just READ the post above yours Auto9999. ekool just got done saying that everything will stay the same (as in FREE) unless you choose to pay for the premium membership and the extras. For those of you (and me at this point in time) that don't wish to pay EVERYTHING WILL STAY THE SAME.

I really don't want to start a pissing match here but it seems that many people have not read the last couple of posts by ekool. I too was kinda pissed when I first saw this thread. I even posted earlier (before ekool responded) that many members would probably leave if he started charging for membership. After that point however, ekool responded and said that the free membership would not be affected at all. He would start a premium membership that would include additional features. After reading this I was completely satisfied as everyone else should be. It seems as though most of the recent negative posts have been written before the posters took the time to read the entire thread.

Let's be fair here, if nobody's membership will change there's no reason for anybody to be upset. I for one am just happy that ekool is around to run this place. After programming at work all day, I just don't have the energy to run something like this on the side.

All the options you have now will continue to be free, nothing will change.

If you want ADDITIONAL OPTIONS that come with the PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP there will be a fee.

Don't freak out. You can still continue to enjoy TitanTalk just as you do now, For Free.

I swear, sometimes you just have to beat it into their heads, cause clearly they aren't concerned enough with this site to actual read the whole thread.

I only hope there's no door on your computer that could potentially smack you in the @ss on the way out. Good ridence.
To everyone else, sorry for sounding so jerky, but the threatening undertones in this guys message are absurd. Let him go. He has been a member here since November and in three months has only made an average of one post per month. He clearly has nothing to contribute. I'm guessing we'll survive.
