You guys are great... reading the responses put me back into a good mood after reading that junk. I may edit my first post and update it with the current goody list for those of us who are late comers who arent reading the entire thread.

Hey ekool, I have combed all the posts in this thread and at great risk of bringing a smile to your avatar, I get the picture. It is the whole that makes this ship great but the premium part which will keep it afloat. (had to put it in terms Squid could understand LOL) COUNT ME IN!!!

I like the site... but would not pay to use it.

Surely advertising revenue is sufficient to cover all costs and reward you for some of your time.

I was a member of Ford Trucks until I sold my Ford and bought a Titan. That was a no cost site and a very good one, IMO.

Having said that, you're doing a great job.

BTW, I believe those not responding will not pay. No vote is a "no" vote.

Dear ekool,

I now understand that you are not charging fees on a casual browser like me. But you do not have to call my note a "junk", if it was your intenetion.

Remember that web browsers in general public are your clients, and from the general business point of view, relationship is everything.

The other posts in this thread and myself have clearly laid out and already addressed issues. Someone who doesnt even take the time to read and comprehend whats going on before making a statement like that... well, that qualifies the statement as junk in my book.

Just my 2c...

Your choice to do what you want, it's your site. I like it so I'll stick around cause nothing will change for me. I don't use a lot of the Xtra features you are offering in the premium package anyway, so I probably won't pay the fees. The only way I will leave is if you start hampering things or limiting me. For example at other site they limit the search feature, limit post of nonpaying members, and when the site gets busy NON paying members ride in the back and can't search. If that ever happens, I'll be gone (especially smiles ). BUT if it is just like you posted and nothing changes, I'll stick around and contribute what I can.

ICE

BTW: YOU have made this a really nice site and I thank you for that. I think when you tell people here (AND ANYWHERE) that you are going to start charging ANY amount of $$$ for something that was free, you WILL run into resistance. People don't even read the entire thread and start freaking out cause the free site just started charging $$$. I say GO for it and charge the $$$, SINCE nothing will change for regular users. PEOPLE YOU ARE PAYING for specific services (ie...more space and email and such), you are NOT GOING TO PAY TO USE THE SITE AS WE DO NOW and that will continue to be FREE. Correct me if I am wrong????

Hi administrator,

I understand your point and it clearly expressed your stance to my inquiry in my first paragraph.

You did not address to my second paragraph. Quite a while ago you mentioned in your message that you wanted to welcome all people and wanted us to spread the word to promote your titantalk.com to the public. I am not sure how much money you are making from advertisement banners, but I wanted to help your business. I have been feeling welcomed but I am starting to feel you are personally attacking me.

Anyway, my question is solved.

It all seems clear now. I hope that the "nays" have realized that nothing is going to change unless you want more to your mebership. My question is when will these changes take affect?

I am brand new to this site and I think that your doing a great job ekool. I appreciate the fact that the majority of the members actually have something constructive to add and do not fly off the handle when someone disagrees with them. I'm staying regardless of any fee.

Once we iron out the details, I'll probably be able to have everything running within a week or so.

I'll probably have 2 seperate packages, or one package and the ability to "add in" the decals/licenseplate frames/hats seperate.

No one is personally attacking you.

We like you, you are welcome to stay and participate (for free), now let it go and let's get on with talking about the Titan.

Okay.. here's a status update.

I'm thinking about doing the following.... There would be an option to add the following into the membership, which would be an additional $35 or so...

1) Titan Hat (with a small titantalk.com URL written on the back)
2) TitanTalk.com License Plate Frames
3) TitanTalk.com Stickers
25) TitanTalk.com Business Cards (you can put them on a Titan to let people know about the site)

So... you could do the Premium Membership for $20, and for $35 add in the listed items above. So you'd be looking at $55 total if you did the whole shebang.

Also... the items would be available seperate if you wanted to piece together just the stuff you wanted.

Nice to see that for the moment everyone seems to be getting along. On second thought, this thread was much more interesting when people were fighting all the time. Oh well, it's inevitable that something will get flamed up around here pretty soon.

#@%&$* if this freakin pager from work goes off one more time.............
