I think I'll take the time now to mention that a nomination does not guarantee selection. The administration and moderation team will pick candidates from the nominees that we feel will make good moderators and will put it up for a vote at that point.

There has been some confusion, so I am just setting the record straight. Feel free to direct all hatemail to me via PM.

I had assumed that was the understanding. Maybe it would be a good idea for you to lay out a few of the qualities that you're looking for. It might help the discussion stay a little more on track.

By the way...get a lot of hate mail do ya?

There are a few people who could no doubt handle the job, but there's only one person who has the knowledge and fortitude to be a great moderator.

That person is: HavockWK

All right. Exactly how much did he pay you for that?

In all seriousness, HavockWK is on almost as much as Squid normally is. Plus he comments on most all of the threads so we know he is already viewing them. Sounds like a good start to me.

In all seriousness I was actually wondering if you had any requirements as far as time spent on the site is concerned. Obviously, a mod is expected to spend a good deal of time here monitoring what is going on, but any specific requirements. Don't mean to keep hitting you with a barrage of questions but I think people should know what they might possibly be getting themselves into.

I think many of the people nominated would do their jobs well.

Regardless of if you think I deserve to be a mod, I would caution you not to exclude someone, anyone, based on their ownership of the vehicle.

You need mods who are generally level-headed and can make fair, impartial judgement calls. Every car forum I've been on has had mods who weren't owners and it adds a certain amount of credibility.

Please note I am not making a case for myself, just refuting what was said above. That being said, I am honored that you would still nominate me.

Thumbs up Mixed feelings here.........

I have mixed feelings about a mod. that doesn't or hasn't owned a Titan........I just think the experience of ownership or past ownership like Trikky is more helpful and efficient.......although not necessary for all sections of the forum obviously. Whatever the decision or qualitfications are....I'm sure it will all work out or will be corrected.
I also nominate Trikky for his qualifications and know he is here most all days. The mods have really done a great job and I know what volunteer work is all about........still have two committments with local authorities where I live.
All the nominees to this point look good to me also. Good luck TT mods. and members!!

Funny you should mention that. In reality, Havock's posts have been very informative and his aptitude shows through each one. If you look at all the moderators on this forum, Chris was one of the best, 37L1, and Bayou are good, but rrumaner is exceptional!

Just An Opinion

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to add my opinion to the mix. It seems as though most of the participants in this thread either know each other very well or have at least talked or met in some fashion or another. I'm still fairly new to the site but have added my comments and opinions to a few threads since I've joined. I'm not sure how much weight, if any, my suggestions will hold, but I think maybe we should try some new blood at the healm. I'm sure there are others on here that maybe lurkers or just possibly users that are "shy" to chime in but I believe we should give those users a chance to put there insight to work to possibly make TT even better. I'm still getting to know alot of the users here but I believe everyone has something valuable to say. Again, this is just my .02 cents.
