Well, I was researching new trucks, and drove my uncles Avalanche, and really liked it. Upon doing research on edmunds on the Avalanche, I used their compare vehicles option to see what were close vehicles that I maybe also should be looking at, and I found the titan. Upon reading reviews and problems with it on edmunds, I found a link to this place called Titantalk.com, thus I came over here, was impressed by the knowledge members had, and their friendly-ness. And here I am ... still here, saving money patiently for my truck, trying to decide on options before I run out and buy it. The more options I chose I must have the longer I must wait before I can join into the true frenzy of it. In the meantime, I made sure my father purchased a QX56, this was of course, after I found out I couldn't talk him into buying a Titan himself, he wanted the SUV, and a Luxury vehicle, but, It's nearly close enough. And of course, I drive it every chance I get, and love every minute of it, and it makes it just that much more painful when I'm not able to get have my titan just yet
I did a web search for titan forums on yahoo and found this forum. I was heavily into modding an Acura RSX for fun and thought there website clubrsx was great but was surprised to see a forum this active for my new titan! Alot of great posts on here. Very helpful and fun.
One of the first threads I read was an apology from a member who had apparently ranted a bit too much and was temporarily banned. He had just come back to the board and apologized for his remarks. Among a long list of replies from members commending him for stepping up and admitting his wrongdoing was one reply which simply stated: "This thread is gay." I knew I found a crowd with just enough of a smart-a$$ edge to suit my sense of humor.
I am pretty sure I found the site with a Google search.
Damn, I can't remember if it was google or Edmunds that eventually sent me here. I had already purchased the Titan when I made my way here. Read thru many amusing posts, more helpful ones, and some frankly scary ones. Not sure I would have purchased a Titan if I had visited here prior to decision. The brake issue kinda scares me!! But then again every truck seems to have its own issues (F-150, Tundra, 1500). I have to say I love the Titan and would make the same decision if I could go back in time. Can't say that about a lot of things.
Thanks to ekool and all others for a helpful site.

I stumbled onto TitanTalk about a month after buying my truck. And I say "stumbled onto" because I really can't remember how I found it... seems to me I was Googling something and it popped up. Anyhow, once I found it, I was "hooked!" I appreciate the camaraderie and the friendships that have come naturally as a part of participating in a forum like this as much as I have enjoyed the wealth of knowledge and suggestions shared by many members who are much more experienced in auto repair, fixes and improvements than I am. That's why my decision to become a premium member was a "no-brainer!" While I recognize that a forum is only as good as its membership, I also acknowledge that without ekool and all of the mods assistance, TitanTalk would not be the great place it is to spend time, learn and enjoy oneself!!

I'm pretty sure I found TT on Google back in the later half of 03. I was pretty much set on getting the Titan based on reviews but I want to see what real world issues that owners were having with their trucks. After hanging out here for a while I decided that there wasn't any big issues and went ahead and ordered my truck in Feb 04.

I googled "nissan titan" and found a discussion on the Edmunds forum where an informed individual mentioned TT. One visit and I was hooked. I have just ordered a SE KC 4X4 with OR, BT, AB, and RF packages. Looking forward to being part of the community!

You'll notice it didn't last long thanks to Austin....
Sort of killed the mood, didn't it? Reminds me of that thread where you mentioned how hard it was to find any good drugs these days....you were probably joking, but it was like someone farted in the room...
The Vinson was one of the ships we built in Newport News. I believe it may already have been finished when I started working there in 82. The Roosevelt was the last one I got to see launched. Those were pretty big boats.
Ships, PDiddy, Ships!!!!!!! Gol'dang aircraft carriers for pitysake!!!

Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The Gay thread post had to be Austin. That little dweeb. I'm still pi$$ed at him for killing my shellback or wog thread with his Gay response.
That wasn't the thread I was talking about. I'll find it. the gay comment was really funny and did not kill the thread, it just added to its insanity. People were really going overboard to commend the poster.
