I guess I'll be the first to congratulate our newest moderator; Pagerdaddy. Let's hear it for PD.

Thanks, guys. I'll try my best to do a good job. I want everyone that comes to titantalk to enjoy the time they spend here meeting new friends and talking about trucks. I know I have....

Now, what's that red button for?...........OMG, I hope no one sees that...

Titan Talk is really getting top heavy with Mod's, I mean for no more active members than we have, especially after the mass exodus what's up? Seem like threads are being locked on a weekly basis, members are being banned, I'm almost scared to log on!

Maybe you should try taking your own advice:

Or do I have you confused with someone else?

Well, I see why we have more "heavy handed mods" The second post is from a sister website "the- Spot". .Did TT add more mods to go over there and spy on the- Spot? My post on the -spot says to not stir trouble and that's exactly what is means (standing up for Titan Talk). My remarks about all the mods for no more active members dosn't have a anything to do with the other website. And why would you think my remarks are negative, last time I looked this is America(free speech within forum rules) and BTW my comment didn't break any rules. Are all members that are on the other website going to be banned? Now my first question was never answered, why are members being banned and so many threads being locked over here, TT may show almost 6k members but really only has about 400 active members based on poles that have been in place a while. If you go over to the other website (as pagerdaddy has)you can see my post over there are all good post, I don't go between the two starting trouble. To be attacked by pagerdaddy was uncalled for and I think he should issue a statement to the forum explaining his action, which where wrong!

Just for the record and fairness, I pm'ed both pagerdaddy and ekool with the same message, so that the reported moderator has the same information that ekool was given. And no I will not post this on the other website, btw I am a member of CT,TT, Spot and new nissan's forum. These two are not the only forums in which I particapate.

First off PD didn't attack you and didn't perform any actions. If you feel he "attacked" you, then please take it to Private Messages either directly to him or the site owner, Ekool. As for your original questions:

Currently we have 6 moderators and 6,520 members, I'm not sure that is "top heavy with Mods." I realize that not all 6,520 are active, but at any given time there is a large group of members online. All 6 of our moderators can not be on here 24/7 to monitor the forums, so no, we are not top heavy with mods. We have regular lives just like everyone else that take us aways from our duties here. So at times we may only have one or two able to run the forums.

As for the "mass exodus", I wouldn't consider 5 or so members a mass anything. No one is expected to pick only one forum to belong to. I myself belong to most of the Titan forums. It's all a personal choice and we don't hold anything against a member who posts elsewhere, to do so is simply silly.

Threads being locked on a weekly basis? Threads are continually locked, and have been since this sites inception. And they aren't just locked at a moderators whim. Usually it's for a rules violation, it's getting out of hand, or the thread author requests it. We do it to help keep things running smoothly and ensure that TitanTalk remains a Nissan Titan discussion website. As always, if you have a question as to why a thread was locked/deleted, I'm more than happy to help answer.

If a member is banned, it's also because A; they violated a forum rule or B; they were simply here to start trouble. Often times we're asked why member X was banned, because he/she didn't violate a specific rule. It's sometimes difficult to explain and more often difficult to decide, but sometimes people can just continue to push the limits of what is acceptable without ever crossing the line. We don't relish having to ban anyone, but we do take pride in keeping TT a friendly and helpful source for Titan enthusiasts. Much thought and discussion goes into the process of removing a member, and we don't do it in the heat of the moment. No one should "fear logging on" unless that person is here with the intention to disrupt our forum.

I hope this helps clarify things, and if you have further questions, please feel free to contact me privately.

Thanks I don't know if some of the other members were causing trouble(being banned) or not, your right in that having that many mod's keep someone on line to moniter things, That's Cool! Hey don't get me wrong about Mod's there are some good one here for sure, And most of the time I agree with them 100%. I felt the reply I got was outta line but it's easy to misinterpert someone the internet, maybe I did just that. But anyway lets get back to having fun!

Exactly, that's the downfall of forum communication. Voice inflection doesn't carry too well over the Internet. All too often I see people, myself included, get bent out of shape over misconstrued remarks. Being a moderator often means doing the "dirty work" and some people will hate you for it, but it usually has to be done. Trust me when I say that all of our moderators want the best for the membership. If you (this is to everyone) ever find your self confused/insulted by a moderators actions, take a minute to PM us or at least think things through before jumping to conclusions and we'll try to do the same.

Now, back to the fun.

Congratulations pagerdaddy!! You're a class act and well deserving of your newfound position. I like what you posted in a thread that I posted over on the spot. Very classy. Once again, congratulations. The mods here have made another excellent choice.

Thanks for the compliments, VShortt. Sometimes I make the mistake of being too blunt with someone when I think they're out of line, or being unfair to someone else. Hopefully, we can all learn from what we do that's wrong, and try to do better the next time. I sincerely wish the best for you and many others that I still consider to be friends.
