Titan and Armada sales bolster Nissans growth numbers.

An interesting article at CBS Marketwatch mentions the following:

"The Japanese manufacturers are expected to take another bite out of domestic automakers' market share. Nissan Motors, bolstered by sales of the Armada and Titan, is pegged to turn in double-digit growth."

Nice to see the Titan and Armada doing well!

GO TITAN and ARMADA!!!

Although I live in a more rural area, I do see quite a few of Titans (and some Armada's) around. Which surprises me, since this area has a large "Big 3" following.

Good find, ekool

I think that Nissan will do very well with the new Frontier and Pathfinder also.

I myself am very impressed with the new Pathfinder. I am trying to convince my wife that we need one.

I agree with you on that, the new Frontier and Pathfinder are both great looking vehicles, if I had to trade the Titan it would probably be for the Frontier. If Nissan continues this route and gets the QC issues solved they will put out impressive numbers for sure.

I like the looks of the frontend(grille, lower bumper, etc,) on the frontier more than I do my titan. Also seems like the quality of the materials used on the interior of the frontier are way superior than that of the titan. IMHO

I think Nissan was very smart in carrying a somewhat common theme (think grille area) across the Titan, Armada, Frontier, and Pathfinder lines. From a marketing view, they stand to gain brand recognition by having this common theme. This same principle has served Dodge well over the last few years. The Ram, Dakota, Durango, and even the Magnum and Charger have the same similarly styled grille opening and it is easily recognizable as a Dodge.

I really think Nissan is on to something here. Let's face it....there are still people out there that don't know the Titan even exists. But those same people probably have heard of the Frontier or Pathfinder and take notice that it has been redesigned. When they go to look at it, they may finally notice the Larger Brother or Sister of each.

Have you seen the Quest lately? They've put some pretty damn innovative features in it recently. Though I don't think there's TOO much you can do to a minivan and still make it look like a minivan.

I remember about the time that Nissan started its big turnaround, a friend of mine was working for their ad agency (Saatchi & Saatchi). He told me about Nissan's "upcoming contender to the Expedition and Yukon" and I almost choked on my buffalo wings in disbelief, as I didn't think Nissan even had a V8 in their pocket at that time. He was right though, this turnaround is one of the most ambitious I've seen a major carmaker go through.

Nissan was testing a replacement for the sentra which was actually a rebadged Renault. Needless to say it did very poorly in the testing and clinics so its in design. As for the quest, that was a serious mistake. The dash design just seems terrible.

I feel very proud of owning a Nissan, not long ago this brand was not the best quality or style, still in Mexico (where I live) Nissan sells several low quality and price vehicle but most people buy those, but all the new products are great and I think they are selling great in here., Not any other car manufacturer has so many good vehicles, not Ford, not Dodge anyone.

It's my first post here-love the group, but never actually logged into the system.

Wanted to tell you, Viperssd, that the remade Sentra did well in the clinics as far as the interior was concerned; however, the problem was with its exterior. Too many people felt that the design was "too European" for the American marketplace. Nissan will, more than likely, keep the interior design but is in the process of remolding the exterior lines.

As for the Quest: the gauge pod was center mounted for "safety reasons" and to give it a different feel than its main competitors, the Sienna and the Odyssey. The design may be too advanced for some people, no doubt about that; however, the true genius of the Quest is in how it drives and that it has the most useable interior room of all the vans in its class.

As for the Titan...hold on tight, fans! Diesels are coming as well as duallies. Just a matter of time, I was assured!

The problem with that kind of thinking results in things like the pontiac Aztec. Makes you wonder what focus group said" NOW THATS A NICE LOOKING AUTOMOBILE! "
