Nissan ranks high in customer satisfaction results
Nissan has been named leader in a new international survey of vehicle quality, with satisfied owners praising power and styling.
A leading US-based market research company Strategic Vision Inc, questioning more than 40,000 owners of 2004 vehicles, ranked Nissan among five first-place winners and gained the highest overall quality scores. The Nissan Titan was the top full-size pickup. The Nissan Murano was the top crossover, the Nissan Armada was the top large SUV and the Infiniti FX35 – recently launched in the Middle East - was the top luxury SUV.
The survey asked owners about their emotional response to vehicles as well as any problems they have experienced.
Strategic Vision said Nissan owners repeatedly said their vehicles gave them feelings of power, individuality, excitement and fun. Nissan's sales had a 27 percent increase in the first four months of this year.
Strategic Vision also noted that the Nissan Titan was rated among the best in the compact and full-size pickup categories.
Nissan Middle East deputy managing Director Takeshi Nakajima said: “Nissan prides itself as one of the world’s leading auto names and is always pleased to hear feedback from those closest to its brand – the customers. This customer satisfaction research is testimony to Nissan’s successful 180 strategy based on quality assurance to deliver top-line products in all categories.”
This customer is not satisfied. In the shop for 4 weeks and counting. Nissan consumer affairs is not returning my calls!!
Sorry you feel that way, there's always bound to be some poorly taken care of customers regardless of the auto manufacturer. Hopefully Nissan will get you squared away and soon. I for one haven't ever had to contact Nissan, and my local dealership has done very well. I get calls asking how my service was, surveys, loaner cars, things Chevy never did for me.
Titanak, I would look for another dealer. I just had to have a new 5 speed manual put in my 04 frontier. The orignal tranny never failed and it shifted and drove great but it was making a rattling noise at low speeds which i believe to be the input shaft bearing.
Chances are the tranny could have been broken down and repaired but they decided to just put a new one in.
Its great now and this was all done by stone mountain nissan. The first dealer, Gwinnett place had the truck for 3 days and dropped the tranny twice with absolutley no results. No loaner either. Stone Mtn Nissan had it in and out and I got a loaner and that experience with That dealer is making me enjoy my truck that much more.
I like my truck, But... I've experienced it and read about here on the forums. Customer Service at least in Nissan Serviced Departments isn't that great. Now if they are winning awards.. Jeez, that means to me that the whole scale is rated at various levels of excrement. As bad as Nissan is, the rest are even worse..

makes you wonder who Nissan paid to get that award.
I would love to go to another dealer but i live in Anchorage Alaska and the only other stealership is in Fairbanks that is a 6 hour drive one way. Most people i talk to have the same feeling about the service here and because it is the only one they think they can get away with poor service... not with me i am on the phone every day with nissan corp. My rear diff was put on a ship in of all places Chicago that means a long boat ride from their to Alaska. When i asked why they did not air frieght the part i was told that it was to heavy and that no one would touch it, wrong answer i am in shipping and Emory would have had it here in 2 days max!! He was back peddling, and offered to make my July truck payment right away, i will believe it when i see it.

Who is Strategic Vision? How do we get an actual copy of the survey results? Who do they work for? Who pays them? What other polls or surveys have they done?
Pardon my skeptcism, but this has a certain "aroma" to it which I find unappealing. And this comes from a Nissan Armada owner who absolutely loves his truck. I have no problems, none. No brake judder, no window problems, no diff roblems, no quality issues. Never had it back to the dealer for anything at 20,000 miles and counting. I'm just skeptical about this outfit that seems to be unknown and is admittedly a "market research" company. Those are not independent organizations. They are paid to reach a conclusion.
EDIT: Oh, I did find the web site for Strategic Vision. It is just a public relations firm. Hired by the client it wishes to promote, in this instance Nissan.
See for yourself. I don't think we should be validating or endorsing or promoting this form of "market research," even though our trucks are good enough to rank just as high in truly independent polls and surveys.
Sorry, but I think this "survey" reference should come down from this site. It's embarassing if we can't come up with a better endorsement than a "get what you paid for it" public relations ploy. Just one opinion.

I love all three of my nissans. my 03 SE-R is great, My 92 SE-R has always been great, no issue, the 94 hardbody was great, no issue with 90,000 on it, my 2000 frontier was even better, no problems at all, except that leaking cracked exhaust manifold on all VG engines including maximas! my dads 86 Nissan, no problems when he owned it and his 94 maxima, no issues. loved the cars.
My Titan, one issue and it was the brakes. My dealer in Uniontown PA ripped out the rotors and replaced the torque members and pads. This was a Bosch issue, not a manufactured Nissan part. So, I blame Bosch. My dealer fixed it all, no other issues.
I just hope that Nissan does not start allowing mexico to produce the electronic things as much, because that is what GM and Ford, dodge have issues with, resistors made in Mexico seem to break!!!!!!!!! I did find one in my previous Frontier fan switch resistor, I replaced it with a Japan unit.
Chris 04 Titan, 03 SE-R, 02 SE-R previous owner of 94 maxima, 86 sentra, 94 hardbody, 00 frontier.

I've had similiar experiences with my Nissans. My '04 Titan is my 4th Nissan and I've gotten nothing but GREAT service out of all my trucks('89 Hardbody-200K miles, '95 Hardbody-200K miles, '00 Frontier-50K miles, and now my '04 Titan.).
Nissan has always attended my trucks needs and took good care of me.
I've referred many people that have bought Nissans and I've had no complaints!

Reread the article. It also says Nissan seems quick to address problems and correct them and thet JD Power cited the Mississippi plant as one of the most improved. What it tells me it the Titan, Armada and Infiniti are going through the usual new product growing pains. Not at all uncommon.
