i've never really gotten to tear into a propane motor, pretty much stuck with heavy diesels, but all the fork lifts were propane powered, never an issue with those, plenty of power, but again it's a fork lift purpose built.
my buddy just picked up a 08 chebby 3500 duramax backed with an allison... i hope he buys a programmer, then maybe a propane injection kit.. needless to say i'll no longer race my GM buddy
so i read in a magazine today that the 09 titans will have a navistar diesel in 2009. i will get the article frm work and type it all up for you guys..

Nissan needs to do something, maybe even change the body style alittle, make people want to buy the Titan again. The Tundra is out and that's what everyone is talking about. when i first saw the titan in 04 I fell in love. Now I'm starting to like the tundra because its new, different and more powerful. I think nissan needs more power, they need to come pre-filted to be alittle higher than the competition, maybe 2" higher, and the standard tire on the off-road package should be the BFG all-terrian KO like Hummer. It might cost a little more, but when it is the meanest truck on the road, people are going to want it and they will do what they have to, to get one. If they come out with a 415 horse power Titan, I would trade my old titan in today! You never know, it might happen.
I just can't fathom why Nissan would opt for the Navstar or Ford Diesel over a Cummins, as Cummins is coming out with some smaller displacement engines for the 1/2 on Ram.
The 6.0 and 6.4 Powerstrokes are turning out to be real nightmares for Ford. Hence, Ford is dropping the 6.4 in a couple years for an in-house developed diesel.
Personally, with possible Nissan, and Chrysler collaboration ahead, why the Cummins isn't finding it's way into a Titan, is beyond me.
It is the only diesel of the big three that's rated medium duty, as the Duramax and Powerstroke are rated light duty.
