Nissan Donates 50 Trucks To HFH

Quote:
Nissan North America, Inc. has donated 50 full-size Nissan Titan trucks to support Habitat for Humanity's rebuilding efforts in the Gulf Coast region after the 2005 hurricane season.
The retail value of the 50 Nissan trucks is more than $1 million.

"We recognize that it will take a long time and enormous efforts to rebuild along the Gulf Coast. With these Titan trucks, Nissan will help that work proceed," said Gaudette. "Nissan's corporate mission is to 'enrich people's lives,' and our trucks will help Habitat For Humanity enrich the lives of many people whose homes were ruined by the hurricanes."

Currently, 60 of the homes are under construction or completed with more getting under way each week. The trucks Nissan is donating will replace some of the Habitat affiliate vehicles that were lost or destroyed in the storm and will provide another valuable tool in the rebuilding effort.

I saw one riding around in Houma a few day ago. It had big stickers on it that said donated by Nissan.

Interesting that the press release doesn't say NEW Titans....

It seems like this would be a great way for Nissan to make use of factory buy-backs.

Does anyone know if these are 06 models, or perhaps earlier models?

The one I saw looked brand new, it didn't even have a real license plate. I did have huge stickers, or mangents with habitat for humanity on them.

i think that it absoultly awesome! That is very generous of Nissan to donate 50 NEW trucks. They need all the help they can get down there.
