2017 Nissan Titan Review

Quote:
With the all-new Titan lineup, Nissan is pushing into unfamiliar territory. Previous Titan half-ton truck buyers were limited to crew cab models with a V8 under the hood, while the new Titan will offer multiple cab configurations, bed sizes and engines.

The brand is hoping the range of choices will help bring new buyers into the fold who never considered a Titan before. There is also the new XD version of the truck that uses larger axles, bigger brakes and a thicker frame to provide more pulling power and, more importantly, to bring more confidence to the table while trailering. While Nissan considers the Titan XD a truck that slots between a half-ton and a three-quarter ton, its technical classification makes it a three-quarter ton truck.

While the XD has been on the market for nearly a full year, the brandís half-ton truck just launched, but there is already an issue with it. You donít need to see a new Titan to realize that the truck already has an image problem. The numbers tell the story.

Re: 2017 Nissan Titan Review

I'm a fan... Was on the fence with the xd.. but I like this. Was kind of hoping for a more competitive price. 5.0 f150 supercrew can be picked up for about 2k less. Will have to wait and see what dealer incentives will be.

I would much rather have a vk56 with a 100k mile warranty. I think the 100k mile warranty is Nissan's best move with this new Titan. New Silverados are hideous, headlights look like they are from a cheap RC truck.. rams and their radio knob shifters.. tundras with their soft frames and enormous priced 5.7 price tags.. toss up between this and a 5.0 XLT sport package.

Re: 2017 Nissan Titan Review

Personally was expecting much better towing numbers. Just got my 2015 recently so Im not going to be in the market for a new one for awhile, but I was expecting more competition from Nissan than that.

Re: 2017 Nissan Titan Review

The Tow numbers take this truck ot of the market for me. Why would I go from a 2005 with tow rating of 9400lb to a tow rating of 9200 with a 2017.

Nissan will loose their butts trying to push the over priced XD

Got my 2017 Titan Platinum Reserve last weekend (10/29). Magnetic Black w the monotone delete color package. I'm in Massachusetts but bought it from Marc Motors Nissan in Sanford Maine. www.marcmotors.com. By far they had the best prices. Ask for Aimee Harris and she will take care of you!

Not many aftermarket performance or otherwise accessories are available for the 2017 gas version. However, Jason Burtman from www.burtmanindustries.com came thru with my Truxedo Lo-Pro tonner cover for an unbelievable deal. Here are some pics.

I own a 2011 Titan and just bought the 2017. I'll post later my thoughts on the differences.

Glad to help ya out. Put your truck on the website too! I can get just about ANY Tonneau out there (or just about any part), so if you guys want something else, let me know. I'll try to help out.

I've sold a ton of this one for 2006-2015, and the 2016 is another great quality cover and good price. On sale now, and in stock!

I understand this incoherent answer to mean they accept easily noticeable to moderately severe steering wheel vibration in their trucks at legal highway speeds and have no intention of correcting it in my vehicle.

I told the Customer Care person that I now understand why Nissan does not sell more trucks. With only 5,000 miles on my one month old 2017 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve, I want my money and my old truck back.

Re: 2017 Nissan Titan Review

Did you get the tires balanced? I test drove a 2wd and a 4wd 2017 Titan and I didn't notice any vibration. Now the 2015 and 2016 Silverado's I test drove are a a different story. 5 of 5 had steering wheel vibrations and the tranny clunked in every one of them.
