Whats up? This is BJ. Tell me what kind of rims you have on your Titan. I have a 04 Titan green in color. I'm trying to find the right rims for my Titan.

Angry Re: Heavy Duty Titan On The Way!

go to panamotor.gt.com you will see 4X4 with diesel engines. By nissan.
How come they can have diesel all over but here. If they can put a 4 or 6 cylinder diesel on the frontier, they should sell the same up here, I have seen full size trucks by nissan also with a powerful diesel engine. Is just pure politics. And Big Oil.

I'm confused...

I'm confused...

Why are you guys asking about the possibility of a 3/4 ton Titan? Towing weight aside, the 2008 Titan is already a 1-ton Truck.
Unless my figures are wrong, my 2008.5 CC Titan I just bought has a payload of 2013 lbs, that's just over ONE TON.
The older Titans were already 3/4 ton trucks, being marketed as 1/2 tons because that's the "popular" segment of the industry,
so the best way to market them would be to label them as 1/2 ton trucks regardless.

Have you looked at the difference in payload capacities of .5, .75 and 1 ton trucks? An F350 (a full ton truck ) has a capacity of more like 6,000 pounds. The terms half ton, three quarter ton and full ton shouldn't be taken literally.

Hook up to 10,000 lbs with another 2000 lbs in the bed with a Titan and then with a 1-ton Dodge/Ford/Chevy and see how you feel about what you wrote. I guarantee you won't be confused any more.

Re: Heavy Duty Titan On The Way!

Then they should call it something else.
1 ton is 1 ton
If anyone asks, my truck is a 1 ton crew cab.
It's not likely I'll ever have to prove it and throw 3 tons of crap in the back anyway!
lol

Note: Over time, trucks have become bigger and stronger. For example, a "half-ton" pickup truck by today's standards may be capable of carrying up to a ton. Designations such as half ton, three-quarter ton etc. are nominal ratings and are currently only used to describe the general size of a pickup – not its weight-carrying capacity.

Re: Heavy Duty Titan On The Way!

If nissan puts their name on a Dodge and calls that a 3/4 ton truck.well its a Tundra for me.Rumor has it that the 2010 titan is going to be a dodge 3/4 ton and they might scrub the half ton titan all together........that blows.

Re: Heavy Duty Titan On The Way!

I think Nissan stopped production of their proposed Heavy Duty Titan. There was an add I believe on this link http://www.mrtruck.net/wdh.htm

I have a hard time believing a statement like this, but if it's true, did he happen to mention the time which this would be out?
