yeah, but i'm hoping by then i'll have the mods i want in place... i get to a point with every vehicle when it starts to nickle and dime you to death.. sometimes i wish things would fail so i can "upgrade" you know, 1 bad shock could = a 6" lift if explained to the womans correctly

Re: Nissan Titan making moves to be bigger, bolder, badder

what i usually do is when the vehicles start to feel old to me, i upgrade. new wheels can really make something look totally different. so, when my tires wear out (will take a while since im driving about 8k/year), i will probably get new rims at the same time.

It'd be nice to have an antique that has been maintained and modded from the first day and still owned by the original buyer. That's a rare truck. Maintained, not just restored.

the 2008 Titans will be bigger, more powerful, more rigid, have heavier axles and better payload capacity, and bigger brakes.
Does that mean a higher towing capacity or is that still the same?

Re: Nissan Titan making moves to be bigger, bolder, badder

My 04 CC is going strong at 55k miles , but if they come with an efficent 23 MPG+ Diesel then i would trade i'd consider the V6 to if the truck where light enough. i get 15.5-17 MPG and i can't stand giving the money to the Islamic nut jobs. i've been tossing around the idea of picking up a Prius or Diesel Golf as my daily driver. If we could all do a little work like buying better HVAC systems, windows, insulation, appliances etc. Maybe someday we can tell them to keep their oil and they go back to running around the desert living in tents and killing each other, just like they where doing 100 years ago.

Yup. There was a thread on here about an ugly 08, remember? It was the stripped down version for the work/utility slot. Black bumpers? Coming back to you now?

Re: Nissan Titan making moves to be bigger, bolder, badder

I find it funny that people still do not think it is a fullsize. Doesn't it still have the biggest interior or close to it? Also my 2005 Titan is MUCH bigger than my 2003 GMC was. It sits up higher and is wider as well. I think the current truck is big enough personally, as there should be limits on a half tons size. Maybe because it is a Nissan and everyone still thinks they only build small trucks? The exhaust note should let everyone know that this truck is not a compact!

Oh, trust me, the numbers don't show it yet, but the Big 3 know it's a full sized truck.....

Re: Nissan Titan making moves to be bigger, bolder, badder

the way you know the big 3 and toyota have all noticed the titan is simple:

the dodge has the mega-gay-cab

the toyota has the crew-butt-buddy-max

it wasn't until the titan came out with it's spacious interior that those to manufactures started offereing large cabs.

personally i've sat in the back of a regular dodge crew cab, not comfortable at all. nissan allowed for adult leg room, you know, real sized adults which i thought was an amazing thing, i have tall friends. one more reason i own the titan!

Agreed. Even my king cab Titan seems to have enough leg room for most people. Maybe not the greatest on a long ride but still sufficient.

I can't wait for the deisel. I hope they make the bed longer too so that I can pull a fifth wheel camper.
