Something that may be of interest to some gearheads here is the Indy Race in Baltimore, on Friday August 30- Sunday Sept 1, 2013. I've gone on Saturday for the past 2 years and hope to go again this year, but for Friday and Saturday. If you want to see the actual racing, buy a ticket for the Reserved Grand Stand, the General Admission will not provide a view as it is almost all blocked at the fences and hotel walkovers. First year you could look through the fences pretty easy, not last year though.
Here is the good news now! Prices are more varied, lowered a bit and if you buy your ticket by the 15th of this month, they will give you a Paddock (Pit for the IRL Cars) Pass for Free! I paid for General Admission and a Paddock Pass last year; so saw little of the race, but the Paddock was really fascinating. I was able to get pictures from underneath the cars! Car Photography heaven for Indy fans.
I plan to get a General Admission for Friday ($15) and Grand Stand Ticket for Saturday ($55, 85 or 100). I will then use the Free Paddock Pass on Friday. Saturday I can watch the racing and walk around all day outside as I wish.
I took the Light Rail to the Stadium area, and only spent $15 for a fantastic Corned Beef Sandwich at a place in the Inner Harbor (a Baltimore Specialty, there is an older area very nearby known as Corned Beef Row, if I recall correctly). So, it is really not too expensive, skip the "street vendors" hotdogs and stuff.
They also have American LeMans Series (ALMS), Indy Light and Indy Qualifying all on Saturday. Lots to see, and now under management by a solid organization. Check this site for details:
Taylor did you find out what was wrong with your truck?

you should have two vacuum tubes from the intake to your air intake tube, if not one is missing.
Edit - I see the oil fill tube meaning this is the right side of the motor... take a picture further out. Looks like the PVC hose going from the intake to the rocker box cover though...
Na the pvcs are separate it's the two big hoses that run off the intake. One has strong vacuum an the other has none at all. Ron- it's gone away for now so I'm hoping all Is good
Ooops! Yes, somebody wrote me and I need to PM back! Things are a happening...... I just replied to him.... BTW< tickets bought for Indy in Baltimore. Going Fri/Sat. Great seats to take pics from the Grand Stand!

Question for you guys...now that we have had a little cold snap (at least up here in the dirty jerz), have your suspensions been creaking and groaning a bit more? Mine sure has!
I'm thinking that it's not the 'cold' that's doing it - NJDOT has put salt on the roads - surface rust has started forming underneath your truck. Once rust has formed even the lightest of 'dust' on those moving parts (such as springs - and even brake parts), you could start getting noises.
Try to keep your undercarriage rinsed down - especially right after the slushy/salty mess has dried up from the roads after an application.
The 'full-feature' car washes which include and undercarriage rinse will help. When I lived in Iceland, we drove through enough rivers that it kept things rinsed off up to about the 2 1/2 to 3 foot mark
It wouldn't hurt to get up under there with a garden hose with a spray attachment - or even use an oscillating sprinkler!
