Camping meetup somewhere in central PA

On the other thread we decided that we'd like to get together for a camping trip on the weekend of Sept 17th somewhere in central PA.
Here are two of the state parks with camping areas that we've found so far.
As close as I can tell they are primative sites that have running water/flush toilets and showers.

One is out near Bedford, PA the other is closer to Gettysburg, PA.

I'm a little partial to the one in Gettysburg because I'll go for the whole weekend then since there's battlefield type stuff and touring to do. I'm not sure what all is out there near Bedford but I'm not a big hiking/ hang out in the woods kind of guy.

Chime in, and maybe we can get someone to figure out what the costs would be?

Guys...

I have 'people' coming to town that weekend. How about the weeknd of the 24th. I could still make the 17th, but I won't be able to hang out much...

I can look into Caledonia some more. It's about 20 minutes or so, from Caledonia to the battlefield.

I'm flexible. I think that gr8titan is on vacation. I'll give the others a few days to wander over here before I start harassing them about it.

I'm definitally interested as well. Anywhere within reasonable driving distance from WV is fine with me.

I'm pretty open to anything, but Gettysburg is a little bit closer for the jersey members.

I think we should keep it more west so that those of us who could not attend any other meets from western PA/WV, etc could make it out in a reasonable time. There have been several jersey/Eastern PA area meets that were too far for some of us.

I probably wouldn't be able to make it, but if you're going to have a truck meet in PA it should be at Paragon Adventure Park!!!

I still think Caledonia would be nice.

It's about 20 minutes of I-81 near Chambersburg, PA.

It's almost mid-state, so you can take either the Turnpike if you're coming either East or West, OR if you're coming North or South, I-81. I don't know much about the park, yet. But I'll make a trip up there soon to find out, and then maybe we can finalize things.

The only reason I was leaning in that direction is that I'm not sure what all there is to do at the other site durning the day. I mean, I like getting together with you guys and talking Titans and whatnot, but it would be nice to go and do something else (let's call it Titan-break). That's why I started leaning toward Caledonia.

Now, that said I see no reason why, if need be, we couldn't split into two groups. It all depends on how far folks are willing to drive.

Just got back from camping/fishing/road trip along the Chesapeake and VA Beach. Here's a few "Bus photos" during the trip. Due to severe humidity conditions, the lens fogged up whenever brought out of the air-conditioned bus.

I will check my work schedule for the NE-TT camping dates. I don't know much of these areas to make any recommendations.

Guy's I'd love too, but I don't think my wife is gonna be up to it, or very tolerant of me going on my own at the moment. Newborns aren't much fun on a camping trip.
