Southeast MA checking in

I have noticed many more Titans on my commute from the cape to Boston and back each day. It's actually kind of bittersweet: I like seeing the Titan take a foothold in sales, but I also kinda liked being the only Titan owner in my area (but not for long)...

Might be me. but I have only seen the red brawn heading south. I just bought one last week and have been on the highway all week. LOving it so far but...Boy, is this thing thirsty! Can anyone recommend a Nissan service Department locally. The dealer where I bought it (St Yves in Berkeley) is closing this week and I refuse to set foot in the Dartmouth stealership after they tried the ol' bait and switch.

If you don't mind a drive I had good luck with Costal in Cohasset

I was planning on trying St Yves. So I guess I am looking for a good shop as well. It took Dartmouth 1 1/2 hours to do an oil change after waiting almost 1 week for an appointment.

Hi, I'm from Bridgewater. Definitely seeing lots more Titans on the road these days. I commute to Waltham every day and always see two or three. I always wave to fellow Titan owners so if you see someone in a silver XE waving at you - it could be me ...

St Ives is closing? I have been getting oil changes done there since I bought mine. I was there just a few weeks ago and nobody said a thing about closing. I usually let the dealer do the first few so I have a record of regular service in case of problems. I guess I'll go back to doing it myself a little earlier than planned..

BTW, I consistently get 17+ mpg - 95% highway driving.

I called them today. They are being sold to Mastria in Raynham so there will now be a nissan dealership in Raynham (automile, I think). Most Service employees are moving over to the new location so it may be worth a shot once they settle in. The phone number will remain the same as St Yves. I will have to give them a try once they are settled in. I would rather gargle with broken glass than go to Dartmouth.

Thanks for the info...
Raynham is even closer to me - next town over. I think Mastria is next to the Saturn dealer and across the street from Silko Honda. I hope they have better hours than St Ives though. I had to leave work early in Waltham just to get an oil change - no Saturdays or evenings.

I will be checking out Mastria once settled in. I commute from Somerset to Canton and will have my Titan wave ready if I see any of you.

I checked in with Mastria Nissan last week for the first oil change. The lot is currently dirt and trailers. It's a little tough to find the service department right now as they are waiting for the new building to be finished. Nice quick service, though. Call ahead for directions, I don't want to be responsible for getting anyone lost.

I'm in Fairhaven and commute to Chestnut Hill every day. Maybe I am seeing some of you folks...

As far as service centers, I would avoid the Dartmouth dealership like the plague. I posted a thread a while back about my phone call to that dealership. I told them I had the brake judder and they said "the break what?". They claimed to have never heard about brake problems on the Titan. But they were kind enough to give me their first available appointment which was 3 weeks in the future. I couldn't believe it. Even when I told them that I needed a sooner appointment because I was worried that the brake problem could be a safety issue and they could not help me. They informed me that they had open appointment times on Saturdays but they preferred to only do oil changes on Saturdays.

I had my first brake TSB performed by Clay Nissan in Dedham where I bought it. The salesman I worked with was incompetent and rude, but their service writer seemed to know what he was talking about. The writer knew of the brake issue, knew that it would be a recurrent problem until the redesigned rotors came out, and knew that Nissan was sending them a technician in the coming week to demonstrate the installation of the new TSB rotors. The service I got from them was decent but time will tell if they are any good. In my experience the first service visit (especially if you bought the vehicle there) is good because they want a good survey feedback. Subsequent service visits are what will tell you if they are good or not. I will be taknig mine in shortly for the fuel sending unit replacement (which they ordered on my service visit two months ago but have never called to tell me that the part came in) and some rattles.
