Re: Baltimore Area

I've been talking with Dave of nissansportsmag and submitted photos & text of my toolboxes for likely inclusion in first issue coming out in Sept. They were at the AT meet in Frederick. They are lookig for input/interaction with the Titan community. Clean up for Saturday, I'll be starting to take some pix here and especially at the UPS meet in October for possible use. I don't know yet, exactly what their style is. I hope we will all look into this new Mag. I don't see anything else that comes close to discussing Titans much at all.

I don't want to really get obsessed with this Titanstuff, but it's cool to get this kind of involvement and exposure. Things are starting to click here...

P.S. R/C Titans may be available at Dollar General Stores. I got mine in Alabama, Big Rob got his at White Marsh. Hotwheels makes a metal Titan (normal or 1/24 collectore size???) I'm looking for that too.

See you guys Saturday.

Re: Baltimore Area

Great meet guys, thanks Big Rob! Saw the Diner on way home, great location off main highway, I'd say. Brand new, great Diner Style and Neon Lights. Good parking, see what they say. Good for us and them.

Charm City Titans is a natural I think, look forward to seeing the graphics.

Next meet, I'll take pix and be looking to start them truck-n-driver bios. What direction are you going with your Titan, purpose, unusual or most significant Mods, etc...

Tomorrow I'll post all details of UPS Meet in Laurel on October 14th, both here and CT site. What was the other name for them business cards, I think MDJamesD said.

Gotta Git-r-done. Don't forget to check out nissansportmag.com.

Re: Baltimore Area

It was nice to meet everybody. Thank you for the hospitality. I really look forward to seeing everyone again and hopefully some new faces will show. I'm trying to find one of the RC trucks, and I see a little racing in the near future. I liked the fact everyone took the time to explain their mods and the good and bad points of each, if any. It's a shame we didn't have a vid of big robs truck after the timing advance. The worst part about the whole meet is that I will have a tough time remembering the names, please forgive me. See you all next time.

Re: Baltimore Area

UPS Car Truck Motorcycle Meet Info is Posted as a new thread under Northeast Forums.

FYI: Some of us discussed Engine RPM vs. Vehicle Speed of 80 mph. I logged my truck tonight with the Cipher and got 2387.5 RPM @ 80.05 MPH. Overdrive ON, Cruise Control ON and going very slightly uphill . Repeated test several times on Rt 97 North, north of Benfield Blvd., with same result. I have BT, so has 4.10 equivalant Rear End. Some claimed 3000 RPM @ 80 MPH. Check it out...

Vealmonkey: Welcome to the show, it was great meeting you, Hillbilly, Big Azz, James (again) and all the rest.

Vealmonkey, You plan on racing little Titans or Big Titans? I'm hoping to go to Capital Raceway sometime in September with my Big Titan. It will be on a Friday night, about 5 pm they open for streetrods. $20.

Make sure the weather is right and that track is great... I pulled nearly half a second better down the quarter at Capitol compared to 75&80. I'm retiring my truck from dragracing though, I think it puts too much strain on the rear diff.

For my luck I've been sick with the flu for the past two weeks, didn't check this forum, and there have been like 3 meets in my area! ARG!!!! School starts next week and I won't have as much time to spend with my Titan buddies.... or will I?
