Lightbulb Dealerships that do timing advance?...

As you guys know, the 2-deg. timing advance that the Consult II programmer can adjust to is proving to be a pretty popular mod. If anybody knows any dealerships in their area that will do this "mod" please post them here!

I'm going to try Sheehy Nissan in Glen Burnie, MD, they have proved to be excellent with modifications so far.

Re: Dealerships that do timing advance?...

Plano/Dallas area. I've called 6 dealerships or so around this area and only one that I know of who will attempt to do it was the Lewisville dealership. The service mgr had to ask his techs about it before he would tell me if something like this could be done. Everyone else just flat out said 'NO'. The guy in Lewisville is charging almost $100 to do it. Anyone else in the Dallas area knows anyone who will do the 2 degree timing advance and at a better price?

Re: Dealerships that do timing advance?...

Vyrus, Not to give you a hard time, but, if you would have gone to the jersey meet, there was a mechanic with the programmer that was doing the mod cheap. A couple trucks at the meet got their timing done. The mechanic came right out to where youir truck was parked and did the deed, it was cool to watch.

Vealmonkey (how'd you get that name lol) you are making it really hard for me! lol I know it's going to be difficult to get this mod done, but I figure it's also good for new users or future owners who couldn't attend. I really want this mod bad!

Re: Dealerships that do timing advance?...

Have you tried Tischer Nissan off of 198 in Laurel. I live close by there and get my oil change there sometimes instead of driving all the way to Herb Gordon off of 29. Anyway I got it done at the New Jersy meet for $25 bucks. Cheap and you can tell the throttle response was a bit quickier.

Re: Dealerships that do timing advance?...

Since Nissan of Mckinney is an official sponsor for DFW, why would they not do the timing advance for us at a reasonable price? $100.00 is a bit out of control compared to what other owners are being charged. For the record, I know Urban Nissan in Duncanville will not do it.

Re: Dealerships that do timing advance?...

South County Nissan-Hyundai in Gilroy Calif...... 55 bucks

Very good service dept.....the hand wash after they work on the truck is worth at least 15 bucks so its like getting the mod for 40 bucks.
