Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

Thanks fellas. I'll be getting together a rough count this evening and come post it on both sites. We're getting good feedback at the other site too.

Exclamation UPDATE and THE RED ALERT LUNCHEON SAT Jan 5th at Noon

Wondering how many are coming out for this meet?

The current count between the 2 big Titan sites, is for 16 Titans committed to being there, and 6 more are hoping to be there. So, a rough guesstimate of 3 people per truck, puts us around 48-66 people! Wow! A Frontier or two will be joining us too.

We do have the optional (free), guided tour set for about 40+ people. Looks like we will be having a blast this day.

I'm going to be hunting down sponsors this coming Saturday while I'm in Chantilly for the "Red Alert Luncheon".

"Red Alert Luncheon"

Red Alert of the CT Site, is in town for the Holidays. He lives in Washington State and is visting relatives for awhile. He will not be able to stay for the Museum meet, but would like to get together with some other Titan owners while he is here. So let's have a luncheon this weekend at Anita's Mexican Restaurant in Chantilly, right at noon.

Red Alert says "The food is good and the beer is cold." I'll check out the Root Beer as usual.

Exact address will be posted by Thursday night. (They have 2 locations listed, just a block or 2 apart.) Located on Rt 50. It'll be real easy to find. Consider the lunch opportunity a bonus for the locals to get together for a couple hours! Hope to see several of you guys there.

Come on over and chat for awhile.

Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

TitanBlue, I met you in Frederick a couple of months ago when you did the 2* adjustment to my copper crewcab. Thanks! I'm going to try and make both events. Anita's is my wife's favorite restaurant so that'll make it easy this Saturday. The restaurant is on the corner of Rt 50 and Centreville Road, just west of the Lexus, Acura and Chevy dealerships. It's been there for around 30 years but I hear it's getting ready to close (there are other Anita's in NoVa, including a new one in Ashburn, where I'm living now. They probably have another location in Chantilly lined up, hopefully!). Next door is the old Cash N Carry, which was probably even old when Grandpa Walton would come up this way. Grab an RC Cola and a moon pie there after lunch. As far as the Air and Space Museum goes, I'm going to try and bring my Dad. Feb 23rd is his birthday, and although he's been to the museum he'll still enjoy it as he's a retired Air Force pilot. In fact, we understand that the B-57 the museum has is the actual one he flew on some missions in Vietnam! I want to get a picture of him in front of it if it's on display. Looking forward to it!

Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

That's the description he gave for the location. Good! I had 2 listings soooo close in my Microsoft Streets & Trips. I'll see you there!

Anita's New Mexico Style Mexican Resaurant FD
13921 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway (RT 50)
Chantilly, VA 20151
1.703.378.1717

Let's Meet and Eat at Noon.

It is located on the Southbound side of Rt 50, 3/10ths of a mile South of Centreville Road. This is just South of Rt 28 Sully Road.

Just drive a little further towards Dulles, and we'll hold a seat for ya!

Funny thing today, I was reading the newspaper at lunchtime and saw my first ad ever, for "Anita's New Mexico Style Mexican Restaurants"!

If anybody would like to stop by the local Brown's Nissan after the luncheon, we can try and stir up some sponsorship.

Browns Nissan is a good dealership. I always get great service from their service dept. The service advisor I deal with is James. DO NOT got to Victory Nissan in Chantilly which is down the street from Anita's off of rt50.

Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

That's good to know! I've never approached a dealer before, about sponsoring anything. Just not my type of thing, but I'm going to give it a good shot.

I bought my 06 from Browns. When I was looking at the 08's Browns didnt have and SB Titans just all LB. I went over to the new dealership Victory and found my truck and a steal, so I bought it. But! they just suck as a dealership and I had problems with the management.

Brown's Nissan in Sterling

I bought my truck back in Nov 2004 from Brown's Nissan in Fairfax. I live in Ashburn now and have taken my truck to Brown's in Sterling a few times. They've done some things decent, but I have not been able to talk to them about what I feel is a problem with my truck's ABLS (I don't think it kicks in quick enough, if at all). The service manager flat out told me my truck doesn't have it, therefore there was nothing to fix. Somehow that's how he interpreted what he looked at in the owners manual, no matter how hard I tried to tell him differently. The tech in the shop he consulted with said it didn't have ABLS either. I've got a 4x4 with the Off-Road package. EVERY 4x4 has ABLS, even the one's with the OR e-lock rear. I showed him the original window sticker that said it had ABLS, I showed him the 2004 marketing brochure I kept that talks about it, no dice, he wouldn't budge. Idiot. I called 800-NISSAN to complain and ask for technical assistance, and their only suggestion was to try another dealership. I was VERY disappointed with their response, total lack of customer service, and it was NOT easy to get in touch with them. I was going to try the new Nissan dealership in Chantilly but now you guys are saying it sucks? My truck just passed 3 years of age so I'll be taking it to local shops for most stuff now, but things like ABLS, you'd expect a dealership to know what it is! I think the problem is that there just aren't that many Titans out there, relative to other Nissan models, and the techs just don't see them that often.

Sorry to here that. Do you still have your sticker for the truck? The vin # should tell you what your truck has installed. Victory Nissan just gave me problems in their service dept. They still havent called me about parts they order for me under warranty, that was 3 months ago. I took my truck to Browns and they fixed it right away.

Yeah, I still have the window sticker in my file. You would think the service rep and the tech would have something online they could check, but all they did was flip through my owners manual! Brown has done a decent job on TSB's, the brake fix, etc., but it's been frustrating to not be able to get them to answer my ABLS questions. Mine's working (I see a SLIP light come on), but I just don't think it engages quickly enough. One tire seems to have to spin A LOT faster than the other before the system engages, and I just want to know whether that's normal. I'm just going to live with it, ain't worth any more discussion.

Do you have ladder racks and bumper stickers on the tailgate of your truck? I saw a red CC like that yesterday.
