Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

I just got back from a final reconnoitering of NoVA. Had a chance to have lunch with my oldest daughter, at the Backyard Bar and Grill. Beautiful Place! We had the Chicken Nachos for an Appetizer, Backyard Chicken Sandwich and a Prime Rib Sandwich. We were shocked at the huge serving of Chicken Nachos, and both of us enjoyed the sandwiches. Food and Service were excellent. They have everything on their Menu, quite good stuff, like Tuna, Chicken Oscar, Crab Cakes, Steaks, Ribs, etc. Price for Sandwiches about 9 bucks, Dinner Entree's about 10-24 bucks. Lots of Salads to choose from, all reasonably priced. Kids Menu too IIRC. See the link and locate the Menus from the sites drop down menu. You're going to like this place.

We did reserve for at least 40 people at 6:30, in a seperate dining room. We could have many more! I left it as individual tables so we can still get seperate checks. I think it will work out well. It is not a huge place, but it will be lively when we all invade, this coming Saturday. Join in guys!

Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

Got my reservations set up for this weekend, now just need to make sure I can get the weekend off from work. I should know by tonight if I will be there for sure or not, hope to be there and see everyone.

Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

Do we have an official head count yet TitanBlue? You should have me down for four. Will be myself, wife, and the two kids. I was thinking about raffling off the kids at the meet, I think i could make a pretty good profit off of them once everyone finds out how handy they are when it comes to washing the Titan. J/k of course...

Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

Can they scrape the sidewalks for the Meet?

FYI: The Meet is definetely ON! We are experiencing some winter weather, but we are still ON!

Hey Irish, you don't have to have a Titan with you, to come to the meet. Come on over anyways! We all need to meet you.

Official count? No, but it is looking like at least 75-100 if all show. it is growing everyday still!

SURE, I don't know how mechanically inclined they are, so I cannot guarantee the results...lol You may want to hold off paying them until after the job is done

Now scraping the sidewalk, I can get my son to do that one I think. He likes to play in the snow and ice anyways as we moved to Va. from texas and he didn't see that much snow in TX.

I am on my way out the wash thew truck today before the meet. I was thinking about waxing it if it gets warm enough here today, looks like the high is only around 38-40*, don't know if I should try to wax in such low temps.

Anyway, the wintry weather will make this meet pretty interesting. We'll see how many of us stand outside and how many go to IHOP and sit there all morning...lol

Heh... getting there may be more than "half the battle"..... Ice supposed to start Friday night into Saturday.... Just right for all traveling to the hotel....

So far, still planning to come, but I don't think I'll be driving 4 hours in an ice storm. That's not the way I want to see us or Blackbeauty go out of this world...

Re: The Northern VA Meet at the Air & Space Museum at Dulles

I understand Blackbeauty! Be careful with BB and Family. We will have plenty of opportunity to get together this weekend after everyone gets there safely. I'm hoping the kids school starts late, as I am taking them out early anyway. A late start will mean they skip totally school, as an hour of school isn't worth much. SO, I plan on being nearby, very early. Backyard Grill called today, and I confirmed the reservation, and told them it could go much higher!

My PRG Brackets came in today! More stuff to stare at.

Looks like the weather on Saturday is far less likely to be an issue. Come on out everyone. Be safe!
