getting a Wii. any advice? - Page 2

im getting a package for a good price, wii, wiimote, wiisports, sport add ons, mnm racing, carnival games, fit, and fit board, for $260. all new or used once. im seriously looking at the wii play since it comes with a wiimote. i will deff get mariocart. are the steering wheels just addons for the remotes, like the sports stuff is?

its just my opinion, but the "ad ons" like steering wheels and tennis rackets and junk like that, honestly take away from the experience of playing the game. Some are downright silly.

I dont like to use the wheel in mariokart

its a very fun system, waaaay more fun to play if you got friends to play with lol. extra remotes are a must.

If your not a young kid anymore, be sure to properly stretch like you are about to do some serious exercising when playing the sports games. Both of my parents, in their 60's, quit using my sister's Wii because they kept bruising and having pulled muscles from bowling. I'm 30 now, and I even noticed some soreness because I get into it just like playing the sport using the real equipment.

I would also add, don't get the recharge station. it sounds good in theory, but (on mine at least) you have to charge it every time. Just go to Sams Club or Costco and get a huge pack of batteries and you'll be fine
