Computers, Hard Drives Seized at ACORN's New Orleans Office

Investigators for the Louisiana Attorney General executed a search warrant Friday at ACORN's New Orleans office in connections to allegations of embezzlement and tax fraud.

Spokeswoman Tammi Arender Herring said the search warrant was executed shortly after 9 a.m. and resulted in the seizure of computers, hard drives and documents.

"It is quite a bit of stuff," Herring said, adding that ACORN officials were "extremely cooperative."

The search warrant follows the removal of computers and other items by two unidentified former ACORN employees when they left the organization, according to ACORN attorneys.

Assistant Attorney General David Caldwell said the original allegations of embezzlement were made last year by ACORN board members who were terminated after asking for an examination of the activist group's books.

ACORN fired its longtime director of its Louisiana chapter last month, citing a lack of accountability.

Pamela Marple, an attorney for ACORN, acknowledged that the community activist group has been cooperating with a variety of governmental agencies in the past two months.

"The AG's inquiry came in the form of a subpoena, which was issued in October and which requested virtually every document in the possession of ACORN and any related entity," Marple said in a statement issued to FoxNews.com. "ACORN was working diligently with the AG’s office to understand the request and respond in a realistic manner, particularly because the subpoena requested well over a million documents."

ACORN has been assured the computers will be returned shortly, Marple said.

It like the whole situation with Countrywide, Barny Frank, Charlie Wrangle, Chris Dodd and all the other not so honest people. WTF are you going to believe, them or your lying eyes and ears?

Well the last time I checked my eyes and ears were working just fine so until some other means of rooting out corruption and criminal activity become available, I'll just have to rely on the old standby because I am certainly not taking any of them at their word any longer and with regard to ACORN, I imagine some mid level Capo will get all the blame while the folks at the top will go untouched like the corporate and Congressional Godfathers they have become.

ACORN has been involved in voter registration fraud during the election.

Fast forward to teaching people how to lie to get financial aid.

Currently, a total lack of administrative control over their financing, hiring, and operational practices makes them suspect and open to investigation.

They hold a huge powerblock as a grass roots organization and supported the current POTUS. That support then casts doubt on the President by association; an association (not with the aforementioned allegations) he had long long before these problems came to surface.

For all the money they've taken in compared to the problems they have, they need to be shut down. Any good they may have done is overshadowed by such extensive mismanagement that a firehose on the top floor to wash out the building seems the best option.

This is not just about some hooker getting housing from ACORN or corruption running rampant within that organization, but the criminal activity and corruption that permeates the Hill and this is as much about Bully politics and Saul Alinsky tactics of getting the "grass roots" support like ACORN and the SEIU to "get in their faces" for you while at the same time, attempting to de-legitimize or marginalize the opposition. This is a war between elitists like Obama and Pelosi and freedom loving Americans, and Obama has thrown folks like ACORN and SEIU out in front as pawns.

The very same SOB's and make no mistake, Obama needs their support badly enough that he will overlook whatever transgressions they may be involved in for as long as he can without "soiling himself" with the crap they are involved in.

Obama is great at walking the line and forging alliances or "associations" with whomever he needs to such as William Ayers and Reverend Wright in order to get him elected and forward his agenda and that of his monetary masters but in the end, he will denounce them all if he has to because they are not part of the elite and therefore expendable in the long run.

Besides, once one of these organizations is brought into the light of day, their leaders merely slink back into the shadows and form a new organization with the same players and only the name has changed, not the agenda and they are very sneaky while shuffling money between the hundreds of hidden organizations under the ACORN umbrella.

They are like a cancer, they just keep growing and when you eradicate it in place, it pops up in another and although I have nothing against unions and believe they serve a necessary purpose, the unions Obama has behind him are being manipulated by the union bosses who are part of the elite and coerced into serving an unholy agenda and the fact is, although many of his followers in ACORN, the SEIU and elsewhere believe Obama is the second coming of Jesus, there is enough evidence now to refute that claim unconditionally.

It's easy to see that Obama is not the second coming as evidenced by the criminals and Communists he has hired and quite obvious by now that unlike the exemplary carpentry skills exhibited by Jesus, Obama can't even build a Cabinet but he did manage to host a last supper with the boys from Goldman Sachs all invited for the monetary feast when AIG bit the dust and funneled investment dollars back to Goldman and Obama also has many X Goldman boys in his administration.

No he's not the second coming of Jesus but he is certainly the savior of some Jews at Goldman Sachs, lol.
