Re: Choosing a Dog.

Had to mess with the red eye deal on the image manager. His eyes look funky if a flash is used.

Re: Choosing a Dog.

Actually the cat was drinking out of the dogs water bowl. He was waiting for the word to get the cat. He's buddies with the orange cat, not so much with the black cat.

Re: Choosing a Dog.

I lost my Border Collie/retriever mix to illness and went a couple years without a dog. I then decided to become a foster home for dogs in the shelter. I adopted the first foster dog I had. Do you see how the program works . Actually the next foster we had we let go to a good home partly because the wife was out of town.

Meet Kobi. He's a Boxer Weimer mix. Boxer face, Weimer eyes, ears and body. The mother was pure Boxer. He is the best natured animal I've ever been around. Never met anything or anyone he doesn't like. Hyper two year old puppy and 85 lbs. Good with cats, children and other dogs. Gets bored easily and will chew up anything. He's big and tall and gets things off the top of the refridgerator. Nothing is safe from those big jaws.

My big point is that pure breed means little but the love of a great animal is special. Go out and save one. Go to a shelter and look. I think they choose you and there's and immediate bond. You'll know when you meet them.

below is Kobi with a Weimer at the dog park.

Re: Choosing a Dog.

^^Funny, One of my dogs is a Pointer /Boxer mix. Looks like a bulky pointer, acts and plays like a boxer. Great dog. Slightly off , but really funny.
