Not Sure Where To Post A Tech Question/cool Link.

this is not really on a TITAN it self, i have a friend who has some pull with a dealership, and we have been kicking the idea of stuffing an endurance motor into a first gen Z car. i know there are some NISSAN techs here. my question is, what are the dimission of the Endurance V8 over a 4.5 from a Q45. some has done this swap and it was tight fight. but i believe a 5.6 does not have as wide as valve covers as a 4.5 does.

here is the like to the swap. http://www.zparts.com/showcase/engin...z-testfit.html

Sneaky, that is one georgeous Z car. I love that color.

I can't really answer your Q on the fit but if you can come up with some dimesions for the 4.5L I can tape measure and give ya a good idea.

Haven't come up with anything yet. Didn't realize it would be so hard finding the measurements. Also, not quite sure that just going out and doing it would be right either as I have never measured an engine that way...thoughts?

basiclly, just measure the widest points, manifold to manifold, oil pan to intake.

front to back should not be an issue, they came with L6's from the factory, and a small chevy/ford fits with ease.

That is a super sweet Z. I would pefer to see an RB26DETT used instead since it stays with the Z's heritage being that its an inline 6, has way more power output potential even though its only a 2.6L, sounds way sweeter, lighter, the list goes on and on, plus it would fit. Not to many people realize that Nissan made one of the sweetest engines ever made with the RB26, when you figure 800+Rwhp is possible with the stock short block. I just think its wrong to yank an I-6 for a V8, the I-6 is superior in many ways and the list of sports cars equipped with inline 6's is shrinking. So even though that Z looks super sweet I've got to give it a big thumbs down.
