Titans & Gas Prices

The more expensive gas gets the tougher it is on Titan sales. I was originally set on a Titan but right now I'm considering some other, more fuel effecient options. I think the truck is great but filling that thing all the way will take some serious cash, and for someone who drives a lot it just seems unwise.

Has anyone asked themselves why gas is becoming MORE expensive even though America is pumping the oil out of Iraq faster than ever? Makes you wonder where that oil that so many American lives were sacrificed for is really going. My bet is it's not going very far. It's going to fill the thanks of Israeli tanks and helicopters so they can keep beating on little rock-throwing boys and stealing more land from the Palestinians.

The sad thing is so many American lives are sacrificed for that, on the premise that these brave American soldiers are fighting for freedom and liberty, when in actuality they're fighting to support the exact opposite. Ask yourself who's running Washington, you'll be surprised when you put all the names on a list and see what they have in common.

Well, what I did...

Well, what I did was get an 04 Nissan Sentra for my daily driver and the Armada is what the wife drives. She drives a lot less than me... So far the worst gas mileage on the sentra has been 30.1mpg city/bumper-to-bumper/highway.

The best is with a K&N Filter at 32.4mpg. I only have 2700 miles on it so at 3K I am switching to Amsoil. My guess, after it breaks in further I should see consistent 35mpg city/bumper-to-bumper/highway...

Now that is sweet!

Well we have the 'luxury' so to speak of having 3 cars and 2 drivers..

We have the Truck - Which we can't stop driving! LOL 17.5MPG last tank..

My older Z Car .. 19-20MPG normally

And a lil Daewoo commuter we are SUPPOSED to be using to keep miles off the other two...for some reason we just can't! But, when the prices climb over $2.2 a gallon, we do use the Daewoo more and more... 32MPG

$600 a month in gas is my 'limit'! Chris

I am not here for a political debate but if you think we are in Iraq for oil you are sadly mistaken. As a proud member of our nation's military your opinion irks me but thankfully you have the freedom to voice your political opinions without fear of government retribution. Freedoms that heros like Pat Tillman believed so much in that they are willing to lay down their lives. Did top government officials see a way to make money from the war and pursue those investments? They sure did. Is money and oil the reason we went to war? Absolutley not! Shortly after 9/11/01 Bush said that our fight against terrorism would begin against Al-qaeda, BUT, it would NOT end there. At that moment in time most Americans with the horrible images of 9/11 fresh in their minds were 100% behind Bush. How quickly we forget...

This post is a joke right? What do you think America has a pipeline for the Iraq oil directly to us? Man if you think we went to war for oil you are sadly mistaken and I do mean SAD! How about leaving the political debate for some other forum....and if you are worried about gas prices I doubt you should be considering a 15 mpg FULL SIZE TRUCK to begin with......

Thread moved...

First line refers to a Titan but the rest refers to 'political views' etc....

This would be a more appropriate arena (Politics, etc) for this post....

You guys are totally missing the boat on this guy's troll. Notice he thinks our gas prices are going up due to the Israeli military and we should "put all the names on a list" (as in Schindler's?) for those running Washington. The guy is an anti-Semite and blaming the Jews for all our ills.

Oh I got it alright, hence the reason I caps locked and underlined my last name in the above post.

I also got his trolling post for what it was and as a moderator for this forum, I decided to wait and see what my fellow Titan owners were going to say to him. So far no one has taken the bait and and I want to thank the rest of the members for that, very adult, behavior.

There is no place for that type of talk on a forum about trucks, nor is there a place for that type of talk in a public forum. It is simply racist and hateful.

Originally I was going to simply lock this thread, but I figured he would take that personally (you think?) and start a flame war against the moderators. Cali moved it to off-topic which is where it belonged in the first place. Feel free to discuss this, or any, topic in the Off-Topic area, but keep it at or above the level you would want your kids to hear.

If this or any other thread becomes hateful and/or racist, it will be deleted immediately and the poster will be banned. There are places where that type of drivel are welcome, but this is not one of them.

Oh by the way, my last name is RUMANER

Like most good straightforward lads, I tackle things head on. After reading thru the replies it seemed no one had called it as it was and I just wanted to shut him down. As someone in a bi-racial marriage I have no tolerance for race baiting of any kind.

So I am in a bi-racial marriage as well, whats your point! I think your blowing it out of proportion. Sounds like to me, the guy wanted a Titan bad, but gave up his hope in getting one and blamed on the price of gas. Then continued to vent and threw in his political opionions. As you well know that anytime pollitics are thrown into a conversation with some many views - people get offended.

Considered it another wacko conspiracy theory that deserved to be ignored.
