Not Titan but Nissan related...

Well spent today putting on drilled and slotted rotors on the front of the Z (They sent the wrong ones first - only had my rear ones on for last weekends show). But all is well now.

Also, notice the last picture here. This is the result of an idiot cutting us off on the way back from that same show at 70MPH on the freeway. Pointed the only place I could and locked em up. It was either hit him as he came accross my front or the Semi in the next lane. I took the angle in between and braced. Grooves are from the good ol California freeway system

And lastly the nice 'flat spots'....got em on both front tires now...rears didn't lock.

What in the world caused those grooves in the tires? I have never seen that before.

Glad you are ok. Did you at least get the plate number of the idiot?

Wow, close call, glad the only thing that got marked was your tires! What year is that Z car and what mods have you done / do you plan on the drive train?

RR the grooves cut into the tire is actually good ol California freeway cutting. They cut 'rain grooves' into our roads here to disperse water.

Chili - Mods thus far - Changes to date are Nissan 350Z Wheels, new Sony Xplod 3-ways in front and Infinity Kappa 2-ways in the towers, Pioneer RF 6 disk, 8" Amplified Bazooka Sub, JDM Front Strut Brace, DMS Rear Strut Brace, 3"x 6" K&N Cone filter w/Engloid polished resonator pipe, T-Top bags. Installed Rear Spoiler and Mud Guards F+R, and new black floormats, aftermarket antenna. Other The newest addition being F&R Drilled and slotted rotors in the pics.

I bought her last year with 33k on the odometer. She is getting ready to roll 60k so I am keeping her just 'nice' for now. She is 'just' a 1987 NA 2+2 version so only 170Hp. I will eventually buy the stuff for a Turbo conversion to include a full engine and have it 'built' for placement when the original finally goes. Could be a while though as they can last up to 300k miles if taken care of (and I do).

Until then, I will need to get her repainted and at that time may add a Central 20 or a Kamanari body kit to her. I will also have to switch out the actual springs to bring her down a little and will probably go with Tokicko adjustable then.

I plan to hold onto her for quite a few years....She is my 7th Z overall and the nicest condition one I have ever had. Her 'original' pic is the top one on the page I posted the link for below. Picked her up for $4900.

All her pics etc are here:
http://www.cardomain.com/id/redprlz

She has won 2 shows thus far and appeared in last years Z31 calender for the month of December (My B-Day).

Very nice! I wish I had the time to play with a car just because I love it (and I can tell you're in love with that old Z). I about cried when I decided to move across the continent and I sold off my 1968 Hurst Olds Cutlass with original paint. One day I'm going to either get one of the mid-80's GNs or an Impala SS with the Vette engine
