A few pics of my dad's new car

He had been looking for a performance based car to remind him of his oldschool hotrod love and this fit the bill perfectly and its a total blast to drive. I figured I'd share because maybe some of you were interested

Nice car.

Speaking of old school hot rod love: My old 1981 Trans-Am.
The Corvette eater, we used call it, it had too many mod.s to mention.
Suffice it to say that when I listed it in the local paper on a Sunday, a guy showed up with cash the next day and bought it!

Yep, you guessed right.............I miss that car

Very nice GTO. Not my style, but still very nice looking. What color did he go with? The yellow?

yea he went with the yellow the purple shown next to it was another possible but it really was only that color during the bright sunlight and hence he wanted something he'd be seen in more often then not

Very nice car!Sorry to be so crass, but what did it sell for?It is nearly a Corvette motor,so guess there are plenty of speed parts out there(not that it needs it)Thanks,Charlie

Well I definately think he went with the better of the two colors...unfortunately he may get 'noticed' by the woo woo man a little more often

haha indeed the police will probably think he is speeding with it parked. None the less I saw his point in that this color was the right one. The car is pretty scary fast for stock I'd like to see the motor dyno'd because it feels alot fast then the Z28 I owned. The car stickered for 33995 roughly and had a 3k dollar "market adjustment" they sold it to him below 30k although I don't know the exact amount but they were calling it an invoice deal and they had atleast 5 gto's instock so despite the dealers claims this was a "limited production car" apparently they want them off the lot

Edit
Also yes from what I see there is a decent amount of speed parts being built for it including a roots supercharger. My dad does seem interested in modding and I already told him the car does not leave the family ever so I'm on the waiting list for it

Sure doesn't remind me of the original...

My cousin rebuilt a couple GTOs when I was in HS

The hardtop one was sold to pay for the fixup of the convertible.
