All,

Thanks for the support and even for the opposing views. That is what is great about America and about TitanTalk.com in general. Take a step back and look at what a great place this is to be.

As far as Munkee/789. Please realize people that not everything that is spouting forth from this individual is shown here in a thread on the forum. There are many more PM's etc that are underlying.

If you notice the rules of the site...they were established last year in July. This site has grown by leaps and bounds since then and now includes sponsorship. If you were a sponsor, would you want your customers to be reffered to a site that was strickly arguementative, foul language and the like? These are the folks that are paying the bill.

I have asked ekool pursuant to this episode to please go and review all post involved etc and follow up as necessary with regards to the rules post from last July. Based on his review and discussion with the mods changes will be made to reflect the spirit of this great forum. I should add at this point, that if it is found that the ban was not justified it will be lifted as deemed by the owner of the board.

Please, continue to enjoy the board and all things Titan. Even the Off-Topic area.

Chris

My purpose in life is complete. I let Gambit know, and he thought it was very humorous.

Chris, I must say that the moderators have been pretty tolerant of what they
let us say on the forum. Some of us have strong opinions about certain ideas,
and the Off-Topic area is the perfect place for us to express our views.

My Titan isn't giving me anything to complain about, other than the radio,
so some of us are spending our time having great fun discussing politics.
I understand if a lot of you would rather stay out of such "debates", but I
hope we are at least giving you a laugh to read us going at each other.

I think the vast majority of members on this site truly like each other, and enjoy helping a new owner with whatever info we can provide.

I think that as long as we act like adults, keep the profanity and personal
attacks down to a minimum, and avoid making comments designed to
offend or hurt someone's feelings, we can all have a good time on this forum.

I agree wholeheartlily with pagerdaddy. All my life I've found the "one bad apple" rule applies. Even boneheads (like me at times) like to have some fun- but it doesn't have to be at someone elses expense. I don't care what color, religion, political party, height, weight, sex, etc. you are, I'll discuss just about anything with anyone as long as it's in good taste. Fred and I have had a livley time with the "who are you going to vote for" discussion. Although we disagree fundamentally on the issues I don't think we are ignorant of the others right to an opinion. A little decency goes a long way. I'm having a great time on this forum and I hope it stays that way.

Hey Sammy! Who did you p#$s off to end up at Rucker? Been there, done that. Our A-10s out of Myrtle Beach AFB used to visit regularly. Was at Benning last week for a tech demo. Can't get used to those huge Army bases after doing my active time in the USAF. All we needed was a flag, runway, and a golf course, and maybe some housing and a pool. Excellent job on the web site!

Ha, it's more like who's *** did I kiss to end up at Rucker. Haven't seen any A-10s down here since I've been around. And as far as Army posts go, Rucker is tiny. Didn't they close down Myrtle Beach AFB?

Let me copy and paste the forum rules which can be found at http://titantalk.com/showthread.php?t=8749

The forum rules are very simple. There really arent many rules. Keep your posts in the proper section, and you are free to say what you want.

Post a warning on all threads that are not work safe, such as (NWS) and keep them in the off topic sections.

Also, if the content is gross or disgusting, please note that as well.

We believe in free speech, so even if someone comes here talking really bad about the Titan, they have a right to say that.

Follow these simple rules and you will not have a problem!

Either that's a bunch of crock or the moderators are prejudiced against anyone who doesn't agree with them. It's a free country guys. We send our sons and daughters to fight for freedom, yet here we are whining on some message board about some guy/girl expressing his/her views. Big deal! That's what this country is about. Ever heard of the 1st Amendment?

As a former military man it peeves me to see that even in America, the country that stands for freedom, many people do not understand it or hold true to it. Let me give you a little lesson people. Freedom does not mean that you have to fit in to some politically correct guidelines. Freedom means that you are free to openly speak your mind without having to face persecution for it. Anything less than that is an insult to any of us who have and continue to risk and sacrifice our lives for this country and its ideals of freedom and liberty.

The first to go was munky, who's next? What happens when another one of us steps on someones toes here on the forum? Are we also to get banned? What gives any moderator the right to decide that when the rules are clearly posted? Learn what freedom is people, our sons and daughters are dying for it as we speak.
Actually it would be really nice guys if we could discuss what this forum was created for the Nissan Titan. If you want to discuss politics go on a political forum where you are discussing such matters with people on that level who want to dedicate their time discussing such matters. If you want to know why the sky is blue go and ask Jeeves or discuss that question on a science forum. - Aloha!

Myrtle Beach AFB was closed right after the first Gulf War. I believe the air wing is in Alaska now. I've been out since 92 but am still proud of the military (all branches) and the immense effort required to get the job done right. I salute you for your commitment.

Right back at you. If you haven't noticed it yet, I added a topic in this forum for all the military TitanTalk members to post on.

amen. Why would anyone want that kind of talk on here? Everywhere else we go, we get barraged with the trashy stuff. It's nice to have a refuge.
