Last time I checked E-6 was Staff Sgt, E-7 is Sgt. First Class.
But dont take my word for it, I was only an E-4 (CPL or SPC)

Which is why I put the part in quotes and then put my actual rank in ( ). I was acting Platoon Sgt my last year, but they didn't have a slot for SFC(Which is typically the rank that holds that position), so the guys just started calling me Sgt 1st Class to tease me since I was technically being overworked and underpaid.
So, no... technically and on my dd214, I'm a Staff. My check was of a Staff, but I filled the shoes of SFC with one less bar on my shoulders.

Re: Military Titan Talk Members

Base housing at Keesler is almost completely destroyed by the storm. We still have several homes occupied, but they should probably be condemned. Unfortunately, there is no available housing in the Biloxi area right now, so they are staying put. There is a plan on the books, however, to bulldoze every house within the next two years and have it replaced with a new one. The rest of the base did much better, although the gulf course pro shop, commissary, BX, marina, Sablich Center (personnel, finance building) and officer's club are still closed and will probably be bulldozed. Other structures received damage of varying amounts, but for the most part are still operational. It's been fun!
