Of course it counts. More so now than ever. I didn't mean for this to be an AD only poll. So seoh2max, what kinda unit and where?
We are an Ordnance unit out of WV....spent 8 months on a lovely ex-russian airbase outside of Kabul. Great views of the mountains but a lousy vacation spot with all the mine fields around the base
They use a lot of Land cruisers and Toyota (Hilux) pickup trucks out there......saw a Land cruiser go thru a puddle (more like a pond) and the water came up over the hood and he just drove thru like it was nothing!!

Navy Ensign with one year commissioned. Spent 8 years before that as an Aviation Electronics Technician, highlighted by a tour with the Pukin' Dogs of VF-143 at NAS Oceana. Moving in June to Pensacola to begin flight school.
I had what seemed the only Titan for awhile here at Wright-Patterson AFB. A couple more have shown up in the last couple of weeks. Haven't talked to their owners though. I still have the best looking one on the base! I get stopped at the gate constantly by guards who want to ask questions about how I like the truck. I kinda miss the 350Z I had to trade in for it though.

I was a Pukin' Dog from 1993-1997 , It will be a sad day to see the Dog on a Super Hornet!!!! Tomcats Forever, Anytime Baby!!!

I was there from the summer of 96 to the summer of 97. Left early because I went to BOOST. Missed the end of the Washington cruise and left before the Stennis cruise. It'll be somewhat upsetting to see the dog on a SuperHornet, I'll agree. But if I can make it back to the Dogs one day, even if they are flying ultralights, I'll be happy. That was the best year of being in the Navy. I left as AT3 Ray, I had just made plane captain. You may or may not remember me. I had to do six months of that year in the galley so I really wasn't around the hangar for that long.
