Re: Military Titan Talk Members

My first post,

Just got my 06’ SE Titan King Cab with all the bells and whistles today! I did about 5 months of research to find what I wanted and I came to the Titan.

I voted Marine Corps!

Spent 4 years in the Marine Corps Infantry
Spent 3 years in the Army as ADA
Spent the past 3 years in the Army Reserves as a Firefighter

Re: Military Titan Talk Members

Does it count if we are prior service.
10 1/2 yrs active service in the Navy EM1/E6

The wife is still in. She's an HM1 going for chief. She only has a little over five years to go for retirement.

It's the Navy, lots of those, lol!! I'm currently an MC (Mass-Communications Specialist, Media affairs). I'm hoping to have my package submitted by June. Although I'm undecided on what community to go. I'm leaning towards Navy Flight Officer, or Surface Warfare Officer if I can't get all the tests done in time.

Spent 2 years in Annapolis, MD, working for the Naval Academy; 3 years in the USS Mount Whitney, and 3 years at Navy Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center, VA. Will be going back to sea here shortly.
Currently an E-5 awaiting results for the E-6 exams for the 3rd time(got my fingers crossed for this one)

E-5 in 3 years? Wow man, CTRs must be pretty open; or did you join as an E-3?

I even forgot when I made E-5, I think it was back in 03, after being in the Navy for 5 years. Joined as an E-1 though.

Keep the quota and you should make chief before you hit your 10 year mark. Great stuff! I wish you the best!

I used to do the same thing for the Navy as a DM (Illustrator Drafstman), until they merged us with the Journalists, Photographers, and Lithographers; we're now called MC-Mass Communications Specialists.
I though they got rid of you guys in the Air Force?

Re: Military Titan Talk Members

4 years active duty USN, made E=5 in Electronics. Spent 4 years in reserves while going through college, then spent 34 years working for DOD. Spent 5 years in Saudi Arabia, 5 years at Guantanamo Bay, 5 years in Germany, 1 year in the Balkans and a year in Italy, interspaced with time at US facilities. My Titan now has 50,000 plus miles and runs strong.
