Army Infantry here. Had to park my truck...deploying to Iraq later this year. I'd much rather be driving my Titan than a HMMWV.

Re: Military Titan Talk Members

I am not invovled with the military, but plan on doing so. But, I think I would be most useful being perhaps a mechanical engineer for the military. I would love to start designing and building vechiles used in active duty -- Any suggestions?

Perhaps some of you vets can point me into the direction I would like to go? What would you suggest doing if you were in my posistion?

Any opinion's given I would be thankful for.

Well call your local army office ask for advice, helps if you have a degree already or some college in that field.

Remember our military is conected to our civilian sector, department of the army gives the specs of what we want, and contract it keeping most of the jobs right here in america.

Then you dont want to join the military, as we do not build our own vehicles. Companies like GM among others build them.

If you were to take a guess, how much of a military vechile HAS to be specced? I could understand armorments, but would it also greatly restrict "new" ideas? Like for example, NOT using a cyclinder powered engine and replace it with... lets say, a rotary powerplant?

And thank you for the suggestion, I will be sure to find out more about what I can do for us. Us, as in US.

I will have to figure out a couple personal things before I make the call. As far as my SSN. I am not an immigrant, but I have a couple things that I need to work out legally. I doubt they will let me go anywhere without knowing all my information.
