I don't know what they do at either of those, I'm a product of the ROTC. And I seriously doubt they do teach those things there. Most Army officers don't learn that unless they spend some joint time.
you must be in newport news huh?? what is the newest now?? uss conneticut? Well I really dont miss the shipyard that much at all...especially not now working in florida..heh heh good luck on the 'eng' job with a new construction...
Newport News yes, as you probably know then the VA class is split between Groton and NN. PCU NORTH CAROLINA is the newest although the 778 is out there, but currently unnamed and barely more than an idea. This is my first time in the yard, and I am sure will be an interesting one.
Connecticut is the 2nd Seawolf and a few back from PCU NC. Jimmy Carter rounded out the Seawolf and now the VA class is in full swing. Almost time for time for some real ops...
You must be an officer - an elisted guy would correctly assume that people posting in a "Military Titan Talk Members" thread would know what grade a LCDR is, and not feel it necessary to explain...
Ouch, I missed this jab during my first read, but I guess only a TED would misspell "enlisted". Back at you!

Maybe I'm thinking back to bootcamp where they had us learn every services rating structure. Probably because we deal with the Marines in the Navy, and they didn't want us to look stupid calling a LT an ensign.

Ok, I was never in the military, but I don't think anyone has thanked you guys for doing what you do.
I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say
THANKS!!!
FYI, I just visited the US Navy Submarine Force Museum in Groton, CT last weekend. The whole family loved it. It was my first time actually being inside a submarine (USS Nautilus) and it gave me a whole new appreciation for those who spend months at sea in there. Man those bunks are small!

I'm at Fort Rucker, not but 2 hours to the east of you. Believe me, we get all the same rain. I'm in P'cola about once a week, I'll probably be staying at the BOQs.
Ok then you know about the weather. It's great when the suns out. I have to say I do have fun driving my truck here, I get looks from all over. There are only a few guys here that have the titan on base here. I haven't met any of them yet but hope to run in to them around some time. I don't think they have done much with their trucks yet.
Yes, it is pouring rain right now here at Rucker, just as it does nearly every afternoon. I'm actually suprised by how many Titans there are on post and in the surrounding communities. When I bought mine I only had seen one other one on the road, now I see several different ones everyday.
