Smoked a 4th Gen Max !!!

I hate to bash another Nissan, but last night I raced my buddy's Maxima. It was not even close. We were Fing around and found ourselves at a stoplight together. I blew him away. He has put over $1,000 of performance mods in. Needless to say that he is very upset...

what year was it, b/c if it was an 02 or newer that guy didnt know how to drive. i had an 02 max se w/ the 6 sp and it was nothin to give mustangs a run for their money. anything before an 02 i dont know how fast those are. but you are right in saying this freaking truck is FAST.

I have both the Titan and the 04 Max. There is no qestion which is the speed demon. The max will give you wiplash. Could be he wanted you to win knowing how much you love the truck. At least you gave it a try.

Same here... I have a Titan and a 04 Maxima.. No contest the Maxima will blow the doors off the Titan.. It's the fastest seden I have ever been in.

My mom bought my 04 max off of me...man o man did i love the speed of that car!!! it was awesome....a GT was messing around one night trying to be 'funny' or whatever it was....anyways we got up to about oh what 110 and and he prolly stayed at my bumper the whole time...i just looked at him and laughed as i slowed down

Def not an '04 guys. I forget the exact yr, but the 4th generation Max's ended in '99. His was either a '98 or a '99. He is still bitter with me though...

I've owned two Maximas, 86 and 2000. No way in hell I would want to race my truck against the 2000. Even with an auto, my wife regularly blows other "hot" cars away coming out of the many toll booths here in Orlando. She gets a real kick out of it. And from what I read the newer ones are even more powerful, although a bit heavier. These cars are well disguised rockets. I have a buddy with a turbo in his 01. Pretty scary.
