Father Time

Who here is feeling Father Time creep up on them? I know I am as my mid-30s are creeping towards my 40th B-day.

What has me feeling my mortality? Super Mario, Mario Cippolini, the once fastest cycling sprinter on Earth, seems to have succumbed to Father Time. He's had a good run, in fact, a great run. 43 Giro stage wins, TdF wins, but at age 37 he seems to have hit the wall. It's a great run for a sprinter, they usually have shorter careers as the fast twitch muscles go first.

Here's to you Mario, hope you can sneak on one stage win before you drop out of the Giro (he rarely finishes, just like most great sprinters).

At 45 I have been feeling Father Time creeping up on me for a while, I just won't let him catch up to me.

Crusty old men. Why don't you go ahead and put me in your will to receive your Titans. I can always use another.

It was a funny ha ha. Clearly not good enough for you. And I've already earned my own, hence the "I can always use another."

I'm 47 yrs.old my Titan is my firstever brand new vehicle. I have a 15yr.old teenage boy giving me problems and I have a 3 1/2 yr. old boy that takes every bit of energy I have. The only thing that offsets my Zombiness is my wife and my Titan. -Take Care

Just turned 40. Don't feel old. Still mountain bike and road bike once a week. Truth betold I don't heal as fast from falls on the MTB, but I still get up and can't wait to do it again the following week. Two children 4 1/2 and 2 1/2, they also help me maintain my youth.

53 not great, but it beats the alternative!!

I'm 53(wife of 20 years, 18 yo son,2 dogs,4 cats),and I feel about the same way physically as I did at 45-gimpy knees,stiff neck etc.
I still ride my bicycle every day,and swim laps a couple times a week. The motorcycles have been sitting lately-playing with the Titan.
Hey anyone want a pretty good shape 1981 SR500 Yamaha-$1300??It is a 500 cc 4 stroke kickstart single with a cult following(cult bike means cheap ,old used bike that a lot of old cheapskates like ) .How did this turn into a classified ad?
Being 53 isn't great,but it certainly beats the alternative!!Charlie

40 here, lifting more weight than ever but I’m more cautious with longer warm ups. Aspirin & Coffee are my friends. Gray hairs now in the goatee, & I read the paper at arms length. Soon to be married but… commitment sure is a biggie, fortunately she is as immature as I & doesn’t care that I throw cloths on the floor or clean my hands with steel wool.
