How come Titan21 has "banned" listed under his username and the rest of us have "registered user"

He has a temporary ban of 7 days for poor behavior towards one of our moderators. . . Chris aka California Titan. I won't go any farther than to say he was given fair warning and didn't heed it.

oh! I haven't been following as much as usual and I didn't catch his remarks. The fact that his posts were still showing made me wonder why it said banned.

Even though a person is banned, their posts remain. The system simply places a banned title on their name. To remove the posts might make it more difficult to follow the threads.

Let's all hope Titan21 learns from this 7 day suspension that certain attitudes are not welcome and cleans up his posts when (if) he comes back.

Does Titantalk.com have instant IP viewing/registration?

As a moderator on other (much larger) boards, the moderator's view is different than a regular member's view in that the moderator is able to see the IP address each post is made from.

That helps prevent true troublemakers from simply registering under another screen name and spinning the wheel some more...

I'm not calling Titan21 a troublemaker - I don't even know (or care) what went on.

i might as well post here since this thread kind of concerns me, i was given the boot by chris aka californiatitan because i publicly "called him out" by making a little edit message that stated i didn't want him editing my posts, (he KNOWS i dont like that) if he wanted to let me know in a PM, don't go off and do it due to me saying a little bad word. anyways the situation is over and i will continue to post with all my other TITAN mod pioneers in the performance section. lets keep the good times rolling.

I really don't want to start an argument with you, but do you really think
that when a moderator sees vulgar language in a post, he should PM you
about it before editing it out? That is ludicrous.

As far as "calling him out", from this post it looks like you're still trying to
show how Chris was in the wrong and you still have the moral high ground.
Your "little edit message" was very childish and a direct public challenge
to Chris's authority as a moderator. I think you were damn lucky to just
get a seven day suspension.

Just my opinion, but if I'm wrong, I'll admit it. I will also apologize to you
if I'm shown to be so. That's called being a man instead of a crybaby.
