Thought I would say hello. I'm a new Titan (06 SE 4WD) owner and thought I would sign up and get my knowledge from here. Over the last 20yrs, I've been a Ford guy. Over the weekend while looking at F150's and walking past an 06 Titan a few times, I decided to test drive it and deal was done.
Little about me; Name is Corbin. I'm been in Arizona all of my 35 years, moved to Phoenix back in 04 to start over in life. My brother hooked me up with a job at Boeing and have been there since. Come from a family that are a bunch of gearheads and racers. I run up to the mountains every chance I get whether it's hunting/Camping.
I know very little about the Titans, hence the reason I am here. I plan on using the search button and asking questions where appplicable.
Corbin welcome to TT lots of know how on this site, enjoy your neww 06 Titan.

Thanks for the warm welcome. BigA- I'll get some pics up over the next few days. The battery on my DSLR died on me while trying to take some pics. Note to self; charge the camera battery before driving 45 minutes to your favorite place to take pics.
Welcome to the boards, and congrats. So you drove a Titan while Ford shopping, and came home with the Titan. Serious question: What was it about the Titan that made you make that choice?
Search? Absolutely give it a try. It's not necessarily the easiest thing to make find what you want it to, so I suggest that you not be afraid to ask. You'll likely get somebody that will tell you to search, but don't sweat that. There are plenty of folks around who don't mind answering the questions. Even the questions that have been asked and answered a lot, such as "Will these tires fit...?"

Well it was a few things. I was at a Ford dealership looking at used trucks. The wife and I walked passed the Titan twice. It caught my eye as a sharp, clean looking truck, but I didn't give it a second look. After not really seeing a F150 of my liking, the salesmen said "what about that Titan over there?". On a whim "I said what the hell, I'll go drive it just for giggles".
What really got me thinking was how comfortable the interior is. I also liked how everything was setup inside the cab. To be honest, when I turned the key, the flowmaster exhaust also raised an eyebrow (yes, I know, exhaust is cheap but it one less thing I would have to do to it). But to answer your question Carbeaux, it handled and drove nice. The truck itself was very tight. No rattles, low miles and basically just a solid truck. I've been out of truck scene for a few years and it's rather hard to do my hunting from a Cobra.
So far I'm really happy with it. I don't think I'm going to mod it that much. My plans are to get rid of the awful rake. Still doing my research on how to do that. The leveling kit with the spacers is something that I'm looking into. Also maybe some cosmetic changes and I'll be done.
