When I was younger I would atleast pretend to try and understand the actions of some people. Now I don't even do that. What a goon.

ooops looks like he didn't get the memo:

Hummer 1 (H1) is for serious off road use,
Hummer 2 (H2) is for cruising around trying to look cool cause you like the name but couldn't pay to play.

Same memo applies to Range Rover/Discovery owners.

So true! I like the guys that pay 50k for that thing, and then put 5k 24" spinners, and wheels on them. I always wonder why rendering something useless to its real purpose is cool in todays standards. I guess i am just not cool.

Thats pretty pathetic. The first time I laid my eyes on the H2 and saw the solid rear axle with about half the ground clearence of the H1 I realised it was a joke. Now its confirmed. I would expect almost any stock 4X4 could negotiate those obstacles without falling apart.

Hey Discoveries are really pretty bad *** 4x4 right out of the box.
With a little tweaking they are super. Especially the series I Disco's.
Series II had a longer tail..

The only downside to a Disco is it's exit angle, I banged my Disco's butt a lot. But I could follow around modded Wranglers all day long, not to mention yank them out. I even freed up some big ole 4x4 Blazers and a Dodge Ram..

There hill decent gearing is phenomenal. The Disco like a Wrangler will go a lot of places that a Hummer 1 won't go. I.e. narrow spots.. Disco & Rover were based on the same platform, and both had just about equal off road performance.

These vehicles are awesome off road, but the older ones especially the Series I and Series II discoveries are awful on road.. Poor steering (like driving a rudder), bad gas mileage, and no get up and go. And they leak oil!

What do these people expect? It's a Chevy Tahoe with a lot more weight and larger tires, with no other improvements (off road wise.) People automatically assume that because it carries the Hummer name that it was built and designed by the same folks (AM General.) They are two completely different vehicles. The H2's differences from a plain Tahoe are purely cosmetic at best.
