I had full intentions of helping.

I left for my run friday night late so i could get to my nissan dealer/dodge dealer after 8am saturday so service was open. I am usually there around 6am. I wanted to get there late so i could talk to the service manager. I figured i would ask some questions for some guys i met on here, and provide some usefull info. Now i got a 18 wheeler in the parking lot, and i am in full work clothes. I walk in and start talking. I assume he knows who i am. I ask how the titans are doing, and he says great. I asked him what would cause a wine noise in the rear end, or a clicking in the trans, and he went off. Not in a loud voice, but monotone, and not looking at me, but his computer. This is not exact words, but darn close.

You guys want power, and better mpg, but no trade off. Only way we make less mpg is less weight. Thinner engine blocks, thinner trans, thinner axles, plastic interiors, thinner frames. Nobody wants the tradeoffs. Your gonna hear them noises, and rattles. In the days of dual climate in a 6ft zone we cant make miracles happen.

I stood there dumbfounded! I couldn't believe it. I just said "OK", and left. These dealers have Dealer Connect. Its a 24/7 feed from the manufacturer with huge info on your vehicles. Stuff you never ever see. I was hoping to get to know him alittle, and get some info. Not gonna happen with that guy. Its the only Nissan dealer i have. The other is toyota/Dodge, and the rest are all Dodge. I wont give name of dealer cause of work reasons. I will tell you RT 1 in Woodbridge VA. Not for sure if they knew who i was, but i wouldn't want my truck serviced there. Sorry i couldn't help you guys with some answers.

Nice try Budman, we appreciate your effort!
