F-250 Turbo Diesel

Any body know the performance numbers for the F-250 Turbo Diesels? I have a co-worker with one and he just keeps bragging about how fast it is.....and that the Titan cannot touch it. I am no much for racing...but this guy is starting to get irratating.

Don't know the specifics, so I'm not sure about the actual numbers. I have a friend who has an F250 diesel and I've ridden in it several times. You might want to be careful, those things are a lot faster than they look.

Is it a 7.3 or a 6.0 liter. My friend has a 2000 F-350 with a 120hp chip in it. that thing is frickin fast.

I dont think it is too much competition in stock trim, but like what was said above they are modded very easily (and cheaply) to smoke most cars let alone other trucks!!

For the 2004 F-250 CrewCab 4x4 6.0L TD (325hp/550tq) the only numbers I could find are :

0-60 - 9.48
1/4 mile - 17.36 @84.4

The same place rated a 2004 Titan LE Crewcab 4x4 at:

0-60 - 7.35
1/4 mile - 15.93@88.3

I have another co-worker who has the same truck and he let me take it out for a spin. It is surprising how quick that brick is. 9.3 0-60 seems a little high....at least according to my butt dyno. He has no mods, so we may have to line them up to get him to shut up................

I had a 2003 F-250 7.3L with a 4in DP and exhuast with a Diablo Programmer set at 80hp. The truck had a small lift and 37in offroad tires. It ran 16.0 in the 1/4. There are alot of diesels that can easily run 14 sec 1/4 miles but with no mods you should easily beat him.

F-250 and F-350's don't have a prayer! Believe me, I live in truck country! They are everywhere. I have yet to have anyone of them come close to my truck whether it be 0-60 or highway acceleration 50-70. They are nice trucks and I considered one before the Titan came out, but non-garageability(Titan fits in the garage) and insufficient power kept me from purchasing one.

Re: F-250 Turbo Diesel

My dad just traded his Titan 4x4 extended cab for a 2008 F250 Extended cab shortbed 4x4 TT PS Diesel. He bought a bullydog programmer for the diesel. I drive his trucks to pick up lunch every day and I can tell you that the Diesel may be about even with the Titan stock, but with that programmer set on Tow or Performance, the thing is an absolute monster. And there is another setting, "extreme", we haven't tried it yet because at the time he bought the programmer it wasn't available for the '08s yet, but they are supposed to have an update you can download and I would imagine that would just be rediculous. BTW he loved the Titan, just struggled towing compared to the Diesel and bad mileage.

$20 says that guy's a troll. Who comes on a Titan board and their first post is in a 4 year old thread about Ford SD's.
