Milk is a good, quick, natural solution for heartburn. It balances the acid. It even comes in solid form (ice cream).

If both you and your girlfriend are affected then it doesn't sound like a major internal major organ type problem.

indigestion or on the verge of FP. Could be your body was able to fight back the bad stuff enough to push it through or you didn't eat enough to get you full on sick. If you ever have Food Poisoning you will know it and never forget it. I had it one time and I thought I was going to die. Real FP isn't eating and then getting a case of trots for a few hours, it is a full on sit on the toilet and ack in to a bucket for 24hrs straight. You HAVE to drink water to keep from dehydrating even though as soon as the water hits your stomach it comes right up. You get so dry that all you can do is keep a wet cloth near you so you can wet your lips and chew on the cloth for a little water. Glad your feeling better!!

It was the pork. I talked to my sister about it and she says the same thing happens to her when she eats pork. Lots of pain in the middle upper part of the stomach. cant eat anything, then the next day a few trips to the toilet and your good to go. haha.

FYI, If you ever have acid reflux eat raw almonds. Its a natural remedy.

Kind of sounds like my symptoms when undergoing chemotherapy.

McDonald's gave me food poisoning once. I was down and out for a week. Beat the heck out of cancer though.

Yeah no sh$t!! Glad your all okay now.

I got FP from a Shoney's. I was with a group of 12 people and we all got it. It was two full days before I could eat but I was able able to keep liquids down after 24hrs. That is a sickness I will never forget. amazingly my two kids did not get it, they didn't get the buffet. I have not been to a buffet of any kind since.
