The framework for legislation is always laid, and the Democrats have the votes to pass anything they want to impose upon us
lol, no they don't. Not even close. Even when they had the Senate and the House they could barely get anything passed. They currently don't have the House, and on top of that the "bluedog" democrats from southern states do not vote for this stuff.
Secondly -
This is just the brady bill all over again. The brady bill did nothing to address crime. There is nothing there that wasn't in that bill. This is nothing new.
Finally -
Just writing an article and say "the dumbacrats are coming fer yer guns" doesn't make it true. Where is the legislation? If the framework is laid, and its all set to go, where is the bill number? Even proposed legislation has a bill number for tracking purposes.
fear mongering. You're doing it right, but it has no place in our society. Come at us with facts next time.
2009 CC long bed, extra napkins in glove box, ejector seat, 2* timing advance, a couple pens and paper along with a flashlight and candy in center console, Justin Bieber needs to die, I turn the wipers on when it rains, cabin air filters, headlights are good at night, junk mail gets thrown in back seat, forward launching napalm, washing machine parts and tow strap in rear door pocket, flux capacitor, & a full tank of gas.
Recently added: Herpes all over stereo bezel, spider nest in flux capacitor, really bad fart/vomit smell once windows are touched...door handles are where I keep my booger collection.
Now that the election has passed, a new push for gun control is expected.
Recently, the Cogressional Research Service submitted a report to congress to get the ball rolling.

I may not agree with you on politics but this post was spot on. Anyone in John Barrows (democrat) congressional district in Georgia had to laugh at his "these are my guns aint no one gonna take em" ads.

You want facts. The house is controlled by the GOP. Any blanket gun ban will be killed there. You want more facts, there are 80 MILLION gun owning Americans. Good luck having any entity collect them.

Forgive my grammar ...grammar Nazis. I just saw the article and thought it was interesting. I didn't say oh my god it's over and its going to happen. The possibility that it is going to happen is slim but it still could. I don't appreciate you tone in this aswell. I got it your old and been around awhile. Your wisdom is well known around the forum.

Gun rights are important to me. And I understand the concern many people have over a democratic president unconcerned about reelection. In the past, the democrats have tried to come after gun rights trying to argue that legally purchased firearms somehow lead to crime statistics. Thankfully, with so many states having concealed and even open carry laws, the statistics prove otherwise. States that have passed laws to allow regular citizens to carry firearms have seen violent crime drop. The brady bill was touted as some kind of masterful win back in 94. But the data showed that it did absolutely nothing.
The simple fact is, the people who want these blanket gun bans have 0 facts to back up their claims. Even pointing at European countries doesn't work anymore because they still have gun high profile gun crimes and they never had the amount of guns or gun owners that we do. I am telling you that while a few democrats may talk the talk still, on a national level they know it is a death sentence to go after the guns. FFS, Hillary Clinton went pistol shooting during her presidential run. Before Obama took office in 2008, everyone here was convinced it would be one of his first acts. I said there was no way it would happen. People went out and bought thousands of guns and hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammo anticipating some kind of ban that never came. It didn't come in 08, it's not coming now.
Do not get me wrong. The democrats do dumb **** and mess with our civil liberties and try to force things like health care and over reaching hand out programs onto the country, but they aren't going to come for your guns.

Spirit, do you really think that he isn't going to push his anti-gun agenda harder over the next four years? You see no significance in changing our stance on the UN initiative 12 (yes twelve) hours after his election?
Even a tried and true liberal such as yourself has to be able to see the facts...

look. I am not a ****ing liberal. Get this through your head please. I'm really ****ing tired having to explain this most basic of concepts. Just because I am not a gay hating, church going, tea party hat wearing conservative doesn't make a liberal.
I am capable of thinking for myself, and I don't require a political party to tell me what is important during an election.
And to answer your question, no I don't think he is. Lets look at our current political landscape. The democrats have won 2 huge Presidential elections. The Republicans now know they cannot win an election simply by pandering to their base. So they will have to start targeting people like me if they want to win another Presidential election. The fastest way for the democrats to lose voters is to go after the guns.
121 million Americans voted in the most recent election. There are 80 million gun owning Americans. Do the math. You pass a law to ban all guns, you not only lose an election, you probably get shot.
