Road Rage Accident - Is this enough punishment

http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/09/18/dr....ap/index.html

I can't decide what I feel about this punishment. I don't think it is too harsh, that's for sure, but I can't decide if it is harsh enough. What's more is this guy isn't even the one who actually hit the other car...

It's hard b/c I know that I have had road rage in the past, and that recently I have controlled it (used to tail gate the hell out of people who cut me off.....bad idea) now I just let it slide..it just isn't worth the cost and you prove nothing.

I think that part about the pill which makes him sick if he consumes alcohol could be considered cruel and unusual. If alcohol wasn't involved in the accident, why should it be involved in the punishment. Maybe they should sit the guy down and make him watch all different manners of violence for 12 hours a day with his eyes taped open while dosing him with a drug that just makes him sick period. Then after a while, if he even thinks of violence, he will become ill. It's related to his crime a little bit, right? And It's definately a punishment.

Prior to getting my Titan I drove a company owned '03 Impala LS and I was extremely aggressive driving to work from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami on I-95.
Now I haul around my 4 year old daughter in my black Titan CC. My little girl screamed a curse word that rhymes with "duckhead" one day when a driver cut me off taking her to school. That made me pause and evaluate my driving conduct and attitude. I was able to re-program her speech (and my conduct) to only use the word "duckhead" and laugh when we encounter a discourteous driver these days.
