My girl totalled her Maxima... :(

The other day my girl was involved in an accident while she was driving her 2001 Maxima! The city just installed a new signal @ a very busy intersection in town & they have been changing around the configuration of the light controls. Well her & another girl driver were both on a yellow & they both went instead of stopping... No one was at fault & no one was seriously injured, Thank God!!!

She was wearing her seat belt & airbags deployed. Shes OK, just a little shaken up. I made sure i drove her to the hospital to get checked out right away! She has a bruise on her shoulder from the chest restraint, some bruising & scrapes on her hands & arms from the airbag & a sore foot from bracing herself.

It could have been a LOT worse! The MAX is toast...but it saved her from getting really hurt! The Chevy Impala that the other girl was driving was destroyed! The other girl was a younger driver & she must have been hauling arse when the vehicles struck each other!

My girl was able to steer away so it was a glancing blow off the side of the front bumper & she never lost control of the car. The other girl on the other hand must have gotten confused & left her foot on the accelerator? Because after she glanced off the Maxima in the Impala she ended up driving off the road & smashed into a power pole!

Everyone is OK & the the insurance is taking care of everything.

Unfortunately the MAX is going to be a total loss because her parents didn't have collision...but the tow company that was on the scene offered to buy the Max off of her for a parts car.

Driving around in our County has become a gauntlet of bad drivers & its getting even worse by the day!!! I see at least 10 dangerous maneuvers made by other drivers every time i leave the house!

Watch out for idiots on the roads in 2013 fellow TT Members!!!!!!

The most important three words in your whole statement. I'm glad everyone is OK. Good luck replacing the Maxima.

Glad all are ok.

Is that JB's idea of light kit on the front wheels?

Re: My girl totalled her Maxima... :(

Thanks guys!!!

Yes, the only thing that matters is that everyone who was involved is OK!

Shes a very lucky girl & already has another vehicle!

Now i get to chauffeur her around in her new to her 4.6L Lincoln Town Car Executive Series!

I actually like driving it better than the Max!!!!

Its got like every option you could ever want!

Leather, power EVERYTHING, traction control, auto-leveling suspension, climate control...etc.

Its SO comfortable!!!!!

LOL I was just about to buy her new OEM headlights & HID Kit from JB too!

I'm SO glad i waited...

The Lincoln has real projectors as high beams! Their huge looking too! I wonder if we could do a retrofit into a set of OEM Titan headlights???

Nasty wreck. Glad they walked away alright!

On a side note, my daily driver is a Town Car Cartier edition. Inherited it from my dad when he passed and had plans on selling it...but man is it comfy so I'm keeping it. Repairs are cheap and easy, too. When the factory air springs wear out (and they will), you can replace them yourself for $150 (dealer wanted $1500!).
