Senators poised to introduce comprehensive, bipartisan immigration reform bill that would include path to citizenship for 11 million illegal immigrants living in the US and tighter border security measures.
What is the definition of insanity?
Doing the same thing over and over, looking for a different outcome.....
The second part will never happen.....

Senator McCain thinks it's a good idea.
John Boehner thinks it's a good idea.
They figured that if the Republicans don't start making inroads and address the Latino's concerns, the Democrats will have their next President in 2016.

The only reason Boehner and McCain want to pass any such is bill is in hopes of gaining the Latino vote in 2016, but I think it will backfire on them. If they pass this, even with loads of republican support no matter what they do it will go down as a democrat and Obama victory and they will insure an additional 11million democratic votes. I say if we aren't going to kick them out, which we aren't, make them permanent residents, and make them go through the normal citizenship process, thus negating their vote until such time that they have earned that right.
Yes, we will have a Democrat or a Republican acting like a Democrat. But, why should
Hispanics vote for a Republican acting like a Democrat when they can vote for the real thing..
I think the hispanics will vote for whoever they think is the candidate that best suits their personal beliefs, regardless of the party affiliation. Same as it is for the rest of us Americans. Just so you know, I am a Republican.

Hey how come we can't tighten up the border and THEN deal with all of those who are hear illegally?..........uhhhh sorry I think I was dreaming....
"Closing down the borders" is seen as inhumane and directly attacking Hispanics.
There's also an economy that would be impacted by all the illegals who work the jobs that US citizens do not want to work.
How Hispanics are portrayed is also a hot button; hard working and refugees, or mules for drug runners and over taxing honest tax payers by leaching resources.
So to quell the backlash, granting a working way to gain citizenship answers one problem while closing down the border gaps answers the other without hopefully laying blame at each Party which has been the reason why previous attempts have failed.
How does the news media portray immigrants.....both legal & illegal & what
is the real situation ?
Most immigrants with children, both legal & illegal, are getting govt handouts.
Do you think they are going to vote for the party that wants to cut handouts or
the party of handouts ?
They could use that catchy thing called the 'War on Drugs' as an excuse to use the military to defend our borders. Which is what the military is supposed to be for, right?
Just thinking out loud.

Hispanics that are living in the US (either legal or illegal) are hard-working and religious and are more like conservatives than liberals who are feeding off the public trough and believe in killing babies and old people. Most importantly, Hispanics are the key to all future presidential elections and Romney and the Republicans should have been kicked in the *** when they didn't put Rubio or even Jindhal on the ticket in 2012. To get around the not paying taxes issue, we need to implement the Fair Tax.
